Dear SIS Community,
As we approach the end of each school year there are traditions and events that mark important transitions. One of the most important is planning for the farewell of staff, students and their families. Another is the welcome to new community members and teachers.
Today we will commence the process by introducing new teachers who will be joining our expert team. SIS has long been committed to recruiting well-qualified and experienced teachers. Our connection with International Schools Services (ISS) means that we have premier access to the best teachers from around the world.
We are delighted to welcome a group of educators whose experience reflects the truly international nature of SIS. They bring expertise in specific subjects and also in student leadership and community building. Their professional journeys have taken them through schools and learning communities across China, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Sweden, Canada, Mexico, Malawi, Qatar, Oman, Poland, Mongolia, Russia, Sudan, Venezuela, and beyond.
Most importantly, they share a commitment to caring relationships, high-quality learning, and helping students feel known, challenged, and supported.
Over the next two weeks I will share pen-portraits of our newly recruited teachers to showcase the high quality educators who are drawn to deliver a truly international experience for families at SIS. I will be even more excited to introduce them to our community when we begin our next school year.
