The Housebuilding Club had an incredible time in the Philippines, where they worked together with our partner, Gawad Kalinga, to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families.  

In the scorching sun, students toil and sweat,

Seeking solace, exhausted bodies find rest,

Crafting lunches with care, students share,

Smiles unite, bridging day and night with flair,

In memories, a volunteer's stay, forever imprinted.

A real, live, in-person university fair! G10 and 11 students were able to meet and attend sessions with visiting representatives from such schools as Warwick University, University of Southern California, and the University of Ottawa at the ISNS University Fair this week. Getting out and being able to interact with so many university admissions representatives is a core part of our College & Career programme. Seeing what is available in terms of programmes at institutions from North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand was so helpful for our students to better understand the applications process. Students were able to attend sessions that included choosing the best-fit universities, building powerful resumes, and preparing portfolios for Art and Film school applications.  

这是一场能亲临现场面对面交流的大学博览会！本周10和11年级的同学亲身走进 ISNS大学博览会现场，与来自华威大学、南加州大学和渥太华大学等学校的代表们进行面对交流。走出课堂与众多大学招生代表交流互动，是我们升学和职业教育项目的核心部分。看到来自北美、欧洲、澳大利亚和新西兰的教育机构开设的课程，对我们的学生能更好地了解升学择校申请多有帮助。学生们能够参与的课程有：如何选取最合适的大学、如何书写优质个人简介，以及如何为申请艺术和电影学院准备作品集等。 

We have our Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences next week on Thursday (10:00 am – 6:00 pm) and Friday (8:00 am – 4:00 pm), October 19 and 20. The lobby at Net Valley will be set up as a welcome space with the conferences happening in the Theatre and 1F Cafeteria. We look forward to receiving you all for a great time of reflection on your students’ learning. If you have not signed up already, please be sure to do so on SchoolsBuddy before next Tuesday, October 17 at 4:00 pm when registration closes.
