In the hall of ISA Wenhua Wuhan Primary School, during the break, a curly-haired boy with a smiling face can be seen going around with his vocabulary book, looking for classmates to practice spelling words together. Millie, the teacher, proudly said that this is their first-grade student, Zhang Jinlong (Jimmy). 

In order to achieve good results in the Spelling Bee competition, he organized active preparation with his classmates during break time. Although he is young, he has a strong determination and finally leads his classmates to the Wuhan city finals.

Jimmy is a lively and active child who is very eager to learn. He is good at hip-hop, singing and acting. In his school life in ISA Wuhan, he actively participates in every activities, and many students are his fans. Millie, his homeroom teacher, says, "We all know that Jimmy is a talented child, so we encourage him to showcase his talents in every activity, making him confident and allowing him to pursue what he loves." 

Regarding this, Jimmy's mother also shared some insights: "I take him to sample classes multiple times according to his wishes, and after receiving positive feedback, I persistently accompany him. I don't force him to learn very well, but at least he should learn to persevere and work hard.”

At the beginning of April, Jimmy received a call from CCTV-3 to record the programme "Lucky to Open the Door", which can only be recorded once live, with no scripts or re-recording. 

As the lead singer, he took the initiative to lead everyone through intense rehearsals and helped other children overcome their nervousness to finish the recording, which was a growth experience for him. Jimmy’s mother specifically mentioned, " His leadership skills have been well developed in the UOI and house assembly, and that's why he was able to cope with the situation calmly this time."

Jimmy is also an undisputed star in the school's sporting activities. As well as swimming and basketball, which he is already good at, he is particularly interested in touch rugby in the CCA offered by the school. 

This is a highly team-oriented sport, and Jimmy took the initiative to serve as the team leader. Like the Dragon House mascot, Baize, he is courageous and communicative, and the children are particularly willing to team up with him.

In this year of ISA Wuhan, Jimmy's greatest progress should be his English. When he first came to school, Jimmy could only spell simple words, but now he has not only greatly improved his vocabulary, but also his listening and speaking comprehension. At the beginning of the UOI, which was conducted entirely in English, he couldn't fully understand, so the teacher supported him with gestures and simple Chinese phrases. 

Later, Andrew, his homeroom teacher, encouraged him to take on the role of recorder, telling him to carefully listen to the opinions of his group members and make good project records, while also communicating with the teacher for feedback and guidance. His English proficiency developed comprehensively in this process.

Jimmy's dream is to become a soldier. May he grow into a better version of himself at ISA Wuhan, affecting more young friends around him with his passion and love, and moving forward together, heading towards mountains and seas, and meeting at the summit!
