Special education is never about pity or charity, but about dignity and potential. These first graders may not see the blue sky or flowers, but they can feel textures, hear the wind, and hold the beauty of the world in their hearts.
There were no barriers, only pure companionship. No gap between “helpers” and “helped,” only mutual support and shared growth. This is IB’s empathy and social responsibility in action. Education means every life is seen, respected, and uplifted.
As the event ended, the children wore glasses and smiled with curiosity and hope, while Wuhan No. 2 High School IB students held their hands with friendship and respect. This charity activity turned into a heartfelt journey of understanding each other’s world.
