2021年的夏天注定是个传奇，由于东京奥运会延期，奥运会与全运会难得地在同年举行,挥洒无数运动员汗水与热血。

The summer of 2021 is destined to be a legend. Due to the postponement of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, it is the first time that the Olympic Games and National Games of China to be held in the same year, and countless athletes will shed sweat and blood during this summer.

是时候公布他的新身份了~

这两场重大赛事交替举行，而ASJ总校长郑景亮的新身份终于“瞒”不住了！在这第十四届全运会，King Sir以香港代表团团长的身份惊艳登场，一展运动健将的飒爽姿态。

These two mega events are held alternately, and the new identity of Mr. Cheng King Leung, the Chief Principal of ASJ, is finally released. In the 14th National Games of China, King Sir is the chairman of Executive Committee under the Organising Committee of the HKSAR Delegation and he shows the valiant posture of a sports master.

King Sir 率领的代表团达237人，其中169名香港健儿将竞逐18个决赛项目。自香港1997年回归以来，这是第七次派员参赛。截至全运会开幕前，单车运动员李慧诗、梁嘉儒赢得奖牌，接连报捷。

全民全运，同心同行。全运会云集全国各地精英运动员参赛，激烈程度不亚于奥运会，深信香港运动员会全力以赴，发挥香港的拼搏精神。

King Sir Will lead a 237-member delegation, of which 169 Hong Kong athletes will compete in 18 final events. This is the seventh time that Hong Kong sent teams to National Games since its returned to China in 1997. Up to now, Hong Kong cyclists Lee Wai Sze and Leung Ka Yu have won medals in the 14th National Games of China. A series of success is reported.

Elite athletes from all over the country will take part in the National Games of China, making the games as intense as the Olympic Games. All the citizens are convinced that Hong Kong athletes will do their best and give full play to the fighting spirit of Hong Kong.

运动真好，在运动的过程中，我们切身实地地感受到努力、突破与奇迹的共存。是无限庞大的热情与永不言弃的执着，驱动人类向前向上，从而实现最为伟大的文明越迁。

Sports is great. In the process of doing sports, the coexistence of hard work, breakthroughs and miracles can be felt. It is the unbounded passion and unyielding commitment that drives humanity forward to achieve the greatest civilizations.

作为提倡“体教合一”的港澳子弟学校，ASJ将充分发挥十五年一贯制教育体系的优势，着力实施“运动苗圃”的教育理念。即在学前阶段，按照国际教育专家的建议，实行“游戏主导”的健体运动教育；在小学阶段，学生开始接触不同的运动项目，培养兴趣与技能；从初中开始，将培养学生的运动专项技能。

The physical education program will also be a highlight of the school, making full use of the advantages of a 15-year continuous syllabus by establishing "Sports Rising Stars Program", providing students with the best sports training and producing outstanding young athletes in order to become a pioneer of "Unification of Education and Sports " in China. ASJ implement the program by conducting game based physical education activities according to the recommendation from international teaching professionals in the preschool period; by exposing students to different sport programs in the primary years; by cultivating specialized athletic skills in the junior high school years.

除了在教学实践中融入了体育，ASJ也在全面筹备ECA，全方位构成具有“暨大本色、湾区底色、港澳特色”的教学体系。ECA整体分为三大类——基础爱好类、文体类、学术补习，除了常规的体育运动如篮球，羽毛球等，戏剧、乐队、长跑、中国舞、空手道、烹饪等项目的开设，给学生提供了多样化的选择。无人机、创客教育（MG）和模拟飞行等课程，则鼓励学生主动探索，激发对科技的兴趣。

In addition to integrate PE and curriculum, ASJ is comprehensively organizing the ECA programme so as to build the education system with “The quality of Jinan University; The integration of the Greater Bay Area; The characteristics of Hong Kong and Macao". ECA is divided into three categories -- Hobbies, Art&Sport, and Academic make up. In addition to sports like Basketball and Football, the programmes like Drama, Band, Running, Chinese dance, Karate, Cooking and so on are also offered, providing students with diversified choices. Classes of Drone piloting, Maker Education and Flight simulation are also set so as to encourage students to explore and even develop interests in technology.

全运会将于今晚20点开幕，拥有厚实文化底蕴的六朝古都西安，作为承办城市，将“陕耀”全国。

The 14th National Games will open at 8PM tonight. Host city Xi'an in Shaanxi Province, the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties with rich cultural heritage will "shine" throughout the nation. (“Shaan” is the short form for Shaanxi Province, it sounds the same with “shine” in Mandarin)

而依循“在地图上旅行”的理念，引领同学走进西安等特色城市，正是ASJ当下开展的《我的家在中国》主题月教学中，举足轻重的一环。通过引人入胜的教学，港澳青少年将欣赏中国的名川大山，感受风土人情，坚定文化自信、提升国家认同感和归属感。ASJ势必成为港澳青少年爱国主义教育的基地，成为粤港澳大湾区人才培养的摇篮。

To implement the concept of "traveling on the map", ASJ teach students to learn the culture of many feature cities such as Xi'an, and this teaching is an important part of the theme study “My hometown is China” for the first month of this semester. By appreciating the famous rivers and mountains of China and feeling the local customs that are illustrated through the books, the cultural self-confidence of youngsters from Hong Kong and Macao will be strengthened and their sense of national identity and belonging will be enhanced. ASJ is bound to become the base of patriotism education for youngsters from Hong Kong and Macao and the cradle of talent training in the Greater Bay area.

运动意味着什么？对于这个问题，我们每个人都有属于自己的答案。但有些观点永不过时。比赛，最重要的不是赢，而是参与；人生，最重要的绝不是结果，而是奋力拼搏的过程。

What does sports mean? Each one has his own answer to this question. But some ideas are recognized by all. The most important thing in competition is not to win but to participate, and the most important thing in life is not the result, but the process of fighting

全运会带给我们的，不仅是竞技体育精英的精彩赛事，更是昂扬向上的积极运动之风。

今夜，西安将全国瞩目。在开幕式中，学校顾问苏炳添将担任今晚开幕式的火炬手，而东京奥运会跳水冠军、暨大校友谢思埸则担任旗手，他们用拼搏与奋斗彰显彰显暨南精神，ASJ全体师生与有荣焉。

The National Games bring us not only the wonderful competitions among elites, but also the positive spirit of doing sports in daily life.

Tonight, Xi'an will attract the attention of the whole nation. In the opening ceremony, the consultant of ASJ, Su Bingtian, will be the torchbearer, while the Diving champion of Tokyo Olympic Games who is also the alumnus of Jinan University, Xie Si Xia will be the flag-bearer. They have demonstrated Jinan spirit with their hard work and all teachers and students of ASJ are so proud of them.
