近日，OCIS的五、六年级迎来了一位特别的嘉宾，她是2021年离校留学澳洲的Sarah，她带着特别的留学经历，回到母校与同学们分享了她在国外的成长故事。

Recently, the fifth and sixth grades of OCIS welcomed a special guest, Sarah, who left school last year to study in Australia. With a special study abroad experience, she returned to her alma mater to share her experience abroad with the junior OCIS students.

澳洲留学之旅对于Sarah来说，是一段充满挑战与机遇的旅程。她主要围绕三个主要问题与同学们分享了感受和经验。首先是学业问题，初到异国他乡，对学习要求和学校制度还不熟悉，这段时间是至关重要的，因为她标志着留学生活的新开始，所以大家一定要重视，在学习上绝不能松懈。其次是人际关系的建立，Sarah建议大家一定要积极建立良好的人际关系，不要胆怯，其实老师和同学都很友好。最后是要学习适应周围的环境，体会并学习文化的差异，实现跨越国界的成长。

For Sarah, studying in Australia is a journey full of challenges and opportunities. She mainly shared her feelings and experiences in three aspects. Firstly, there is the academic aspect. When you first arrive in a foreign country where you are not familiar with the requirements of study and school, it is the most important time as it marks the beginning. Therefore, everyone must take it seriously and never slack off in their studies. Next is the establishment of interpersonal relationships. Sarah suggests that everyone should actively establish good interpersonal relationships and not be timid. In fact, teachers and classmates are very friendly. Finally, it is necessary to learn to adapt to the surrounding environment, experience and learn about cultural differences, embrace intercultural gains.

接下来进入问答环节，同学们纷纷举手，提出了很多感兴趣的问题。比如海外就读的学校环境、饮食习惯、课业难度、人际交往等等，Sarah都耐心的给出了解答。

Moving on to the Q&A session, students raised their hands and asked many interesting questions. And Sarah patiently provided answers to the school environment, dietary habits, academic difficulty, interpersonal communication, among others. 

在分享中，她首先提到了在留学前，一定要充分了解目标国家的文化和生活习惯，以便更好地适应当地环境。其次，她还特别提到了国外的饮食，认为那里的食物种类丰富、口感地道，帮助她很快适应了留学生活。特别是关于学习的问问题，Sarah表示，留学生活不仅需要适应当地环境，还要应对学术压力、文化差异和语言障碍等挑战。为了克服这些困难，她积极参与课外活动，经常主动与老师沟通，让大家更多的了解自己，这些经历不仅提高了她的语言能力，也让她更好地融入当地文化。当然，Sarah也鼓励大家在OCIS一定要努力、认真学习，紧跟学校的教学节奏，OCIS的成绩和学习水平完全可以顺利对接国外的留学要求。

In the sharing, she first mentioned that before studying abroad, it is important to fully understand the culture and customs in order to better adapt to the local environment. Secondly, she also specifically mentioned food, believing that the variety and authenticity of the counsiness helped her quickly adapt. Especially regarding the question of learning, Sarah stated that studying abroad not only requires adapting to a newl environment, but also dealing with challenges such as academic pressure, cultural differences, and language barriers. In order to overcome these difficulties, she actively participates in extracurricular activities and frequently communicates with teachers to help everyone understand her better. These experiences not only improve her language ability, but also enable her to better integrate into the local culture. Of course, Sarah also encourages everyone to work hard and study diligently at OCIS, keep up with the learning, as the curriculum and teaching at OCIS can offer a seamless tradition.

当然，同学们最关心的还是留学后的学习问题。大家纷纷提问，刚到澳洲Sarah是否遇到语言障碍，能否适应全英的环境，是如何快速提高英语水平的？Sarah提到其实在OCIS的英文学习，无论内容和强度都是与国际教育完全接轨的，为留学打下了很好的基础。她也鼓励大家在一定要努力、认真学习，紧跟学校的教学节奏，相信OCIS的成绩和学习水平完全可以顺利对接国外的留学要求。

Of course, what students are most concerned about is the learning after studying abroad. Everyone is asking if Sarah, who has just arrived in Australia, has encountered language barriers, can she adapt to the English speaking environment, and how can she quickly improve her English proficiency? Sarah mentioned that in fact, the English learning at OCIS is fully aligned with international education in terms of content and intensity, laying a good foundation for studying abroad. She also encourages everyone to work hard and study diligently,  keep up with the learning, as the curriculum and teaching at OCIS can offer a seamless tradition.

最后，在谈到留学生活的收获时，Sarah表示，留学不仅提高了她的独立生活能力和跨文化交流能力，还让她结识了许多来自不同国家和文化背景的朋友。这些经历使她的视野更加开阔，也使她在未来的职业生涯中更具竞争力。

 Finally, when talking about the benefits of studying abroad, Sarah said that studying abroad not only improved her independence and cross-cultural communication, but also allowed her to meet many friends from different countries andl backgrounds. These experiences have broadened her horizons and made her more competitive in her future career.

Sarah's sharing sparked a warm response from the students present. Many students expressed that after listening to her sharings, their understanding of studying abroad became clearer. They will definitely cherish their time at OCIS more, work hard to learn English, improve their abilities, and be fully prepared for future study abroad.

The world is not in your map and notes, it should be in your eyes and ears. Inviting international students to return to school and share their experiences is an important activity of the school.
