Achieve3000在2019年9月进入青苗校园。每个G6-G10年级的学生都会在语言、科学和I&S（个人与社会）课上使用Achieve3000，老师可以通过系统布置作业，学生们也可以选择自己感兴趣的阅读项目。阅读等级按月调整，所有学生都被要求每个月完成8篇以上阅读，并且答对75%以上的问题。

Achieve3000 was introduced to BIBS in September 2019 used by every student from Grade 6 to 10. It is used in English, science and I&S classes. Students can be set assignments for homework in Achieve3000. Students can also choose to work on activities of their own choosing in Achieve3000. Students are measured in their reading level every month and the program is adjusted to match each individual student’s reading level. To achieve growth a student must complete a minimum of 8 activities each month. Also, the student needs to answer 75% of questions correctly to achieve growth.

Interest is the best teacher, and no student enjoys reading the same type all the time. Achieve3000 offers students with more options. Students may set their own interested professional fields and read the recommended books.
Adjusted to every student’s reading level
想要提升阅读能力，光靠阅读是不够的，具有针对性的阅读理解题可以帮助孩子在阅读的同时，更好地习得阅读方法和能力。通过这些阅读理解题目，Achieve3000不仅会根据学习者的阅读水平随时调整相应难度的读物，更是为老师、家长和学生本人提供直观的视角，针对每个学生的强项和弱项提供关键数据，为老师在重点领域的指导提供支持和依据。

To improve reading level, students must not only read, but also master reading methods and skills. Achieve3000 can adjust the difficulty of the books while providing data on each student’s strengths and weaknesses in key reading skills. Teachers can then target instruction to specific areas where students need support.
Resourceful and Up to date
Achieve3000读物类别非常丰富，有大量法律、政治、社会、宗教、地理等等领域的细节事件。不得不佩服Achieve3000的更新速度，总能让学习者读到最新鲜的时事，不会总嚼百年来“地球人都知道的那点事儿”。所以，孩子们在阅读的同时，也可以广泛涉猎，积累丰富的知识。

Achieve3000 offers a wide range of books from law, politics, society, religion to geology, and the system keeps updating its database with what’s going on in the real world. Students may acquire plenty of information and knowledge while reading.
Achieve3000还会在传统阅读的基础上，增设很多辅助学习形式，比如：让学习者参与投票，提供陌生词汇的拼图游戏等等。不要小看这些小小的设计，它们真的会大大减轻学习过程中的压力感，调动学习兴趣，并且増生学习动力。看似不起眼，试过オ知道！

Achieve3000 provides many supported learning tools such as voting, scrabble and miss & match. The little apps really take the pressure off and inspire students to read and learn while having fun.

总之，了解了那么多，还想要提醒大家的是，家长在陪伴孩子使用Achieve3000进行阅读时，一定要明白，高质量的回答比完成阅读的数量更重要，泛泛读了很多但不能正确答题是无法帮助学生提升阅读水平的。另外，还要避免学生在疲劳时继续阅读，这样做毫无效果且对学生的健康成长不利。

An important reminder for parents is that the quality of the answers is more important than the quantity of the activities completed. Completing a lot of activities but answering questions incorrectly does not grow the student’s skills. It is encouraged that students refrain from completing activities while tired. Answering questions while tired can lead to inaccurate answers and hamper a child’s growth.
