有这样一个舞台,为所有学生提供时间、资源、框架和指导,帮助他们把兴趣变成学业,把梦想变成现实。从寻找项目立意到亲手落实构思,从策展设计到布展格局,都是一群6~9年级的孩子利用每周一节的项目课亲力亲为、独立完成的。


这就是顺义校区一年一度的“梦想项目成果展”!


这里的展品,也许是一件充满设计感的晚礼服,是一只3D打印的VR眼镜,或者又是一个充满个性设计的网站……每一场梦想展上,我们兴致盎然地注视着这些充满创意思考和个性表达的作品,也无比欣慰地目送着一届又一届青苗学子,从这个舞台走向更远的未来……

A stage, providing time, resources, framework and instructions, helping them turn interests into achievements, make dreams come true. From subject picking, structuring to exhibition design, all personalized completed by G6-G9 students during their weekly project class.


This is our annual BIBS Dreamtime Project!


An evening dress, a 3D printed VR goggle, or an interestingly designed website… from this stage, more BIBS students set off for their future.

This year’s Dreamtime project celebration of learning turned out to be a great success. I have been impressed with the overall enthusiasm and the quality of the projects that our students produced in this year. The creativity of many students was well presented and evident in most projects. The experiences, knowledge, and the ATL skills students have gained throughout the inquiry process will be of great benefit in their future which enables them to become a life-long self-directed learner. Congratulations to the students who have done a fantastic job in their Dreamtime projects. Special thanks to all of the faculty members who supported them through the learning process.

今年的梦想项目一如既往地精彩!整体来看,课题选择更加多元而广泛,充分展示出个性化的探索和独特的个人趣味!


有的同学“扬长”,充分发挥自己擅长的领域;有的同学“补短”,勇敢尝试新鲜事物,弥补自身不足;有的同学从课堂上某科目内容寻找灵感,进行创意性延伸;有的同学则关注身边小事,从日常生活中发掘课题,进行深度思考。无论是艺术创作类、科技创新类、环保意识类,还是个人兴趣类,其创意思维、深度研究和思考技能都得到了显著的进步,并且展示出对全球性背景的关注和探索。


不得不感叹:只要搭建出一个平台,孩子们总能带来无穷的惊喜!

Another successful year of Dreamtime project! This year’s exhibition has been more diversified and personalized. Some brought out their best, some made improvements where possible, some received inspiration from their classroom learning, some paid attention to their everyday life and developed ideas from there. Art, technology, environmental protection, personal interests, creative thinking, research and investigation… All students demonstrated their attention to today’s globalized world.


With the right platform, every student could give us surprise!

近一学期的“梦想项目”课程在同学们热情洋溢的exhibition活动中画上了完美的句号。我们在经历了选题、调研、实践及不断的反思优化中,最终得到了一份完美的项目答卷,看到大家可以在这堂课做自己喜欢的事且克服种种困难完成所有工作,很开心参与了这一切,同时我也很珍惜和同学们共同进步的时光。

This semester’s Dreamtime project has come to an end with a successful exhibition. We achieve a perfect project report after a whole process of project picking, investigation, practice and improvements. Every participant worked hard and enjoyed what they have done. It was a great experience we shared together.

Dreamtime Project engages students in ways that help them increase their confidence, self-worth and self-image through workshops and activities in modelling, fashion, culture, education, health and wellness, global food culture, spirituality and leadership. The Dreamtime provides opportunities for students to get more creative and use their skills in making their dreams come true.

之所以选择“梦幻珠宝”作为研究课题,是因为我从小就对珠宝感兴趣。从8岁起,我就好奇珠宝是如何制作的,并且惊叹于一件指尖大小的首饰上面竟有如此之多细节!后来,真的有机会在一家艺术机构学习如何制作珠宝,跟着专业老师学习用彩铅画出逼真的设计稿,雕刻蜡,以及镶嵌宝石等工序。幸运的是,我真的全部做到了!


从同学和朋友那里得到了关于设计的反馈,批判性地思考如何在设计中表达我的想法,通过高效的时间管理,把所有的工作安排在一起并确保它们按时完成……这些都让我在整个过程中得到了学习和锻炼。很高兴我能把小时候的梦想付诸实践,并品尝到了小小成功的甜蜜滋味!

I choose the process of making jewelry as my research topic for this project is because I am interested in jewelry since I’m small. When I’m about 8 years old or so, I started wondering how jewelry is being made, and how people can add so much detail on a piece of jewelry that’s not even as big as the tip of my finger. I grow up with these wonders and the art organization I’m in coincidently have a jewelry making project, so I decide to join and learn about jewelry. All the teachers are super nice, and I thought it is a very interesting experience, so I decide to use this experience as my dreamtime project this year. Getting feedback from my classmates and friends, thinking critically on how to express my ideas in my design, managing time efficiently and making sure all tasks are completed on time… I have learnt so much during the process and I’m very glad that my childhood dream has come true!

创建一个YouTube频道对我来说是一件新鲜又颇具挑战的事情。我自认为是一个不太善于表达和交流的人,在这个时候,我认为利用“梦想时间”这个机会,来提高我在交流领域的能力也许是个好主意。


整个过程中,最具挑战的部分就是编辑!这是整个过程中最耗时的部分,需要我无数次反复观看原始剪辑,以确保我对时间线的所有剪辑都有意义,通过外部音效和可视化图形准确表达我想要传达给观众的信息,并且不会重叠错误的信息。尽管整个过程十分辛苦,但它又让我时时觉得兴奋和欣喜。是的,“梦想项目”并不是一件容易的事,但它的存在是为了帮助你克服障碍,发展新技能,而我做到了这些!


现在的我更有信心分享自己的观点,感谢让我花了无数个小时聆听的冗长的原始视频,让我学会如何用简洁的方式去表达、去沟通。我还掌握了一些新的技能,比如编辑、市场营销和图片跳转,是不是很棒?

Creating a YouTube channel was a very new thing to me, I personally am someone who cannot necessarily fluently converse with people regarding my thoughts and ideas. This is when I thought it would be great idea to use the Grade-9 dreamtime as an opportunity to enhance my abilities in this field of communication.


The most challenging yet enjoyable part of the whole process is editing. It’s very time consuming and I had to review the original version over and over again to ensure the timeline I followed made sense, and it conveys to my audience with external sound effects and visualized figured what I’m trying to convey, without redundant information. The process was difficult, and in the meantime exciting and full of fun. Dreamtime isn’t meant to be easy; it is present to help you overcome your obstacles and develop new skills; this project allows me to do exactly that!


I am now much more confident in sharing my opinion as I know how to use my words in a concise manner thanks to the countless hours I have spent listening to the verbose in my old videos. I have developed new skills such as editing, marketing and photoshopping. Thanks to the fact that YouTube is basically a personal scale business, I had to develop those skills to create products of enough caliber to satisfy and excel the standards set for up and coming brands in the real world not to mention the individual thumbnails which need to be tailored to attract viewers for every specific video.

毫无疑问,音乐已经成为许多人生活的重要组成部分,许多人依靠音乐来克服现代社会的压力、竞争和冲突。音乐是一种减压器,是一个忠实地与人们在一起、永不消失的“朋友”。我完成这个项目的目的是创作出更多的“朋友”与人们去交流,用音乐的力量支持人们的生活。希望大家能把我的音乐应用到自己的生活中,在这个复杂的社会中克服压力,放松,冥想,审视自己。


缓慢、成熟、平静的纯音乐是这一项目的总体音乐风格。整个创作过程花费近两个月时间,用来编曲的软件虽然只是苹果自带的garageband,但部分音乐获得了专业编曲人员的认可。尤其是《Rewind》这首曲目,不仅在音色处理上能够让人感受出 “时光倒流”的气氛,同时通过reverb,ambience等层层细节,塑造灵动的作品气质。


这次经历让我对未来充满信心,想象以后的我回首14岁的自己独立完成的这张音乐治疗专辑,应该会觉得很自豪!

No doubt, music already became an important part in many people’s life, many people relied on music to overcome the stress, competition and conflict in the modern society. Music is stress-reliever, a “friend” that stay with people faithfully, and will never go away. The purpose of this project is give more people “friends” to communicated with, and to support people’s life in the power of music. I personally hope that target audience can apply my music into their life (beneficially), to overcome stress, to relax, to meditate, to look at themselves, in this complex society.


Slow, mature and quiet music is the general style of this project. The project took 2 months to complete and I only used the Apple Garageband program. But still, some of my products were approved by music professionals. Especially Rewind, which brought out a ‘back in time’ vibe via details in reverb and ambience.


I received a lot of confidence during this process, and I truly believe I will be very proud when I look back – that I completed this Music Therapy album when I was 14!

Icarus’ Plastic Wings


塑料问题对当代世界影响很大,它正一点点吞噬着地球母亲。从塑料发明之初到2020年的今年,塑料产量超过85亿吨;结果,超过64亿吨最终成为废物。在这64亿吨中,只有9%被回收利用,12%被焚化,其余79%最终被填埋场和海洋。


这让我想到希腊神话里的伊卡洛斯,他为了摆脱父亲克里特国王米诺斯的控制,凭借一双蜡制翅膀飞向天空,但他离太阳太近,蜡融化了,伊卡洛斯坠地身亡。


这双充满象征意味的伊卡洛斯翅膀给了我很大启发:伊卡洛斯代表了人类,他的翅膀代表了这些合成材料,如果我们无限接近太阳——只是凭借傲慢的意志,无节制地生产和浪费塑料,直至超过它的极限而不学会回收,最终我们也无法逃避厄运。

The plastic issue is very impactful to our contemporary world, as it already has been devouring parts of our mother Earth, and polluting our seas. In present time, plastic is becoming as large a part of daily life as, in some cases, food and shelter. From when it was first invented until this year of 2020, more than 8.5 billion tons of plastic has been produced; as a result, more than 6.4 billion tons ended up as waste. Out of this 6.4 billion tons, only around 9% were recycled, 12% incinerated, and the rest 79% ended up in the landfills and oceans.


This makes think of a Greek mythology hero Icarus, who had been attempting to escape from the grasp of the King of Crete, King Minos, with his father, Daedalus, on wings of wax when he got too close to the sun and the wax melted, and Icarus plummeted to his death.


I was inspired by the set of wings: Icarus, representing human beings, whose wings stand for these composite materials. If we keep producing plastics, like Icarus kept flying to the sun with nothing but his ignorant fearlessness, we will face the end of mankind.

珊瑚礁作为“海洋雨林”,是世界上丰富的生态系统的组成部分。它们生活在沿海浅滩清澈的水域和温暖的热带地区,支撑着25%的海洋动物的生命:800多个硬珊瑚物种和4000种鱼类以及人类生活的许多部分。它们还能为社会提供许多福利:如药品、海洋生物维持、旅游、艺术、渔业等。然而,如今,由于气候变化、不负责任的旅游业、过度开采和污染等原因,使它们正处于非常危险的珊瑚礁散布和白化状态。


我想要为大家展示的,是一个海洋世界的珊瑚礁模型,通过为大家介绍和讨论:什么是珊瑚礁,珊瑚礁的形成,珊瑚礁的繁殖,珊瑚礁的益处,珊瑚礁现在的危险状况,是什么造成了珊瑚礁的破坏……从而唤起人们节约自然资源和保护自然美的意识。

Coral reef is the ‘rainforests of the sea’, coral reefs are home and support to an amazing variety of organisms, they also offer abundant colors and the greatest biodiversity of any marine ecosystem on the planet. They live in the environment of shallow, clear water along the coast and warmer tropics. They served as many other benefits for the society like medicines, marine lives maintaining, tourism, art, fisheries business. However, in now days they are in very dangerous condition of coral reefs scatter and whitening caused by climate change, irresponsible tourism, coral mining and pollution.


What I will be presenting or talking about are: what is coral reef, the formation of coral reef, the reproduction of coral reef, the benefits providence of coral reef, the dangerous condition of coral reef now, what caused the damage of coral reef.




通过梦想项目的磨练,孩子们感受到设计是一场创意与思考的头脑风暴, 从此岸到彼岸,在梦想与现实之间自由穿行。孩子们也体会到设计也是一段修行,纵使道路曲折,只要不忘初心,努力前行,必能到达理想的彼岸。


我们除了感谢所有相关指导教师和协调员在此个人设计项目过程中对孩子们所做的悉心引导,也衷心希望在未来的日子里,我们年轻的学子将继续携手创意与思考,以自信而坚定的步伐走向明日的成功!

The exhibition has been a thinking and brainstorming experience to all students, developing their skills and realizing their dreams. May the journey be challenging and difficult, persistence and hard work guarded them towards success.
