小荷才露尖尖角，早有蜻蜓立上头。三年弹指一挥，你们都露出了尖尖的小角，虽经新冠疫情的冲击，照样成长为不一样的人间烟火，心仪的offer也像蜻蜓一样，纷纷立上了头。咱们中加高中的155名学生，绝大多数都是走出国门的文化交流使者，是世界认识真实的中国的窗口。你们中的绝大多数要成为创造美好世界的人才和人物，这是“正确的后浪”应该设定和成为的样子。为人正确，作为后浪的你们才会有力量，才会在“正确地”的拍击前浪之中收获人生的幸福。
Three years passed away as a flash, during which you have just started showing the world who you are. Though we have experienced the pandemic of COVID-19, it is such an incredible pleasure to see you grow up as unique sparks in your life. With promising offers coming from world-wide well-known universities and colleges, a great number of graduates will become messengers of cross-cultural communication, who will design and build new windows for the whole world to see a real China. Many of you will become persons of talents and characters of history who will create a whole new world, which is a definite fate of you as a true younger generation. Being a righteous person will reinforce you with the power to enjoy your life by renewing and refreshing the community and society.
这不是一个普通的新时代，世界需要每一个人做好迎接前方复杂挑战的准备。全球新冠疫情肆意横行，世界格局正在经历巨变，你的留学之路注定不同寻常和难忘。所以，希望你们无论外部世界变化怎么样，都要像阿米巴虫（amoeba）一样适应变化、保存自己、保存那颗向善向上的心；希望你们无论走到哪里，既能扎根于中国传统优秀文化，在修身齐家治国平天下的人生观中寻找成长的能量，又能去西方文明之中吸收精华和人类文明的前沿成果，就像我们站在菁英园的中心点吸收孔子、苏格拉底的能量一样；希望你们要讲好中国故事、传递华美正能量 ，用每天更美的行动，创造属于你的“动人”故事。
This is an unnormal era, during which the world needs every of us to prepare for the complex challenges. The pandemic spread of COVID-19 rages over the whole globe, which is reforming and reshaping the global landscape. Every sign indicates that the road to study abroad will be an extraordinary adventure. Therefore, I sincerely hope all our graduates to adapt the changing external environment as amoeba does. Yet adaption also requires graduates to maintain your kindness and integrity in your soul. I hope all graduates to conserve a concrete root based the essence of Chinese culture, which provides us with the value to cultivate our morality, to regulate our family, to govern the country and bring peace and justice to the world. In the mean while, I also expect you can see and learn as much as possible from other great countries and nations in the west, especially cutting-edge science and technology as well as their civilization. I wish you can be a successful student of both Confucius and Socrates. After years, I have no doubt that there will be one day when you can define positivity of humanity and you can tell stories in China to the whole world with your truest pride.

Dear students, a farewell today may be the last one for some of us and we may not meet anymore. Looking at the teachers and friends sitting next to you, remember their faces and smiles. Go take another photo at the Garden of Elites, with the mascot at the Avenue of Sunshine, with the promise rock at the Youth Square, on the hallway at the Avenue of philanthropism, at your classroom, at your dormitory, at rock-climbing site and etc. Go say thanks to the staff serving at canteen, your dorm-teacher, the campus guards and all your great teachers including Ms. Li, Ms. Zhang, Mr. Zhang, Mr. Lu, Mr. Zhao, Lao Dai, Yoyo, Ms. Xiong and etc. Give them a hug. With flowers bursting into bloom and the Phoenix Mountain watching you moving onto a fresh new chapter of your life, say another farewell even to the sky at Huamei. “Be a more beautiful self at Huamei” is the philosophy of growing and action for every Huamei-er. I hope that you can travel all over the world with it, remembering and practicing it every day in your life. I look forward to seeing you returning back to this campus in ten years, thirty years and sixty years. If you are a small boat, we Huamei school is your home harbor forever. When you hoist the giant sails to cross oceans, you will ride the winds and cleave the waves. Younger waves in the year of 2020, wish you a great success on your future journey.
