小小探究者| 6周的课程,我们初露锋芒

时间如白驹过隙,第一单元为期六周的探究转眼就结束了。闭上眼睛,仿佛还能听见孩子们用稚嫩的声音在单元开始时跟我提问:


“老师,我做错事情了吗?为什么要反思”

“老师,为什么我们要给其他同学点赞?”

“老师,什么是交流者?我们说话就是交流,对吗?”......


经过六周的探究课,孩子们不但能回答以上问题,还能够自信大方地展示探究内容,他们逐渐有了IB探究者的雏形。跟孩子们一起探究的时间总是愉快而充实,精彩的时刻比比皆是。下面,我将跟大家分享三个我觉得最精彩的瞬间。


When I close my eyes, I can still hear the children asking me questions with their young voices at the beginning of the unit: “Ms Tracy, did I do something wrong? Why I need to reflect ?” “ Miss Tracy, what is a communicator? When we talk, we are communicators, right?” . After six weeks,  the children can not only answered the questions above, but also confidently and generously demonstrate the content of inquiry. Now they gradually become IB inquirers. 

In the following paragraph, I will share with you some exciting moments in our classroom.




一、我的地盘,我做主

We designed our own classroom



为了更好地营造班级氛围,也为了让孩子们尽快熟悉学习者档案,五(一)班的同学一起制作了学习者档案火箭城。


In order to create our own classroom, let the children familiar with the learner profile as soon as possible, class 5(1) students made the learner profile rocket City.




孩子们首先在白纸上设计独一无二的火箭,再在黑色的刮画纸上画出来。随后,我们把火箭城和学习者档案连接起来,变成了独一无二的火箭城。





火箭城不仅是教室装饰,更是老师的班级管理工具、孩子们的目标设定工具。


老师会运用学习者档案肯定孩子们所表现出来的优秀品质;孩子们也可以运用学习者档案反思自己的行为、为自己设定学习者档案的目标。


The students designed their unique rockets on white paper first, then draw them on black scratch-off paper . Rocket City is not only a classroom decoration, but also a classroom management tool for teachers and a goal setting tool for children. Teachers will use learner profiles to recognize the good qualities that children exhibit, Children can also use the learner profile to reflect on their own behavior and set goals for the future.



二、辩证地思考并学以致用

Think critically and apply what we learned



在IB,我们鼓励孩子辩证地思考问题,做一名能够及时反思的思考者。本单元中的主题是交流工具,孩子们通过查阅资料观看视频讨论等不同的方式,了解不同的交流工具。孩子们还对比不同的交流工具,找出优点和缺点,有条理地展示出来。


In IB, we encouraged students to think critically and reflect often. The theme of this unit is communication tool, we learned though different videos, articles and discussions. The students also compared different communication tools, list their out-standings and short comings to have a deeper understanding of the theme.







学以致用不仅能够增加孩子们的学习热情,而且能帮助孩子们联系生活和学习,将学习社区从教室延伸到社区。


Learning for practice can not only increase children's enthusiasm for learning, but also help children to connect with life and learning, extend the learning community from the classroom to reality life.

本单元,孩子们不仅制作了班级的朋友圈、互相点赞;还以刚刚结束的双节为题,选择一种探究过的交流工具表达自己的想法,表现可圈可点。


IIn this unit, Children not only made Moments to share with each other, but also try to use different communication tolls to express their feelings.




三、初试锋芒的成果展

Our First Exhihbition

在IB的小学项目中,成果展跟传统教育中的期末考试有一样重要的位置。我们在成果展中鼓励孩子将探究习得的知识技能概念通过不同的形式展示出来。


In PYP, exhibition is a big day for all the students.We encourage children to use different ways to show their knowledge, skills and concepts.







10月14日,五(一)班的同学举行了首次成果展,孩子们准备了探究课中所设计的时间线、海报以及其他作品,详细地跟校长、老师以及学姐学长分享。




展览会中,同学们表现自信、大方,讲解的内容有条理、声情并茂。诚然,我们的探究还不够全面、表达上也还有很多需要改善的地方,但是作为第一次的成果展,我还是要给孩子们点赞。


Class 5 (1) just finished their first exhibition, most of the children chose time-line and posters to show their understanding with guests. Even this was their first exhibition, students were confidence, they explained the details systematically.

 经过第一个单元的探究,同学们学习了知识、锻炼了技能,努力用概念思考问题。作为老师的我,除了深感欣慰,也借这个机会勉励我自己和同学们:让我们


“以梦为马,不负韶华”


一起努力成为一名优秀的探究者吧!


As a teacher, I was really appreciated for all the hard work form my students.I also feel lucky and they inspired me always. I just want to use an old Chinese saying: 以梦为马,不负韶华 to enough both my students and me. Let’s try our best to become an amazing inquirer
