With social progress and economic development, the demand for all-round talents in the future is increasing. Parents’ demand for international education has also shifted from "a single consideration for further education" to the pursuit of "holistic education and individualized education.". Under such an educational environment, ISA Tianhe International School (hereinafter referred to as "ISA Tianhe"), located in the Zhujiang New Town of Guangzhou,  emerged as "the Hurun Education Top 20 International Schools in China". Located in Zhujiang New Town, ISA Tianhe is the only international school in this district, providing IB education for students from early years to primary (2-11 years old). The ISA International Education Group was founded by senior education experts from many of the world’s top international education groups, among them are leaders in the education industry who have held key positions such as principals and education directors in schools such as Wesley, Harrow School, Singapore UWC, Chinese International School, and English Schools Foundation. Mr. Michael, the Head of ISA Tianhe, and Ms. Beth, the principal of Primary and Early Years, have more than 30 years of experience in international education, teaching and management. IB国际文凭

天河爱莎学校采用IB 探究式教学模式。IB国际文凭教育是在全世界范围内为3-19 岁学生提供的课程框架,受到国际的高度认可。同时它还鼓励学生成为独立思考者终身学习者,并且将探究性创造性思维融入所有课程领域。


英国国家教育大纲标准

天河爱莎学校在日常教学中,采用IB探究式学习方式并融合英国国家教育大纲标准,以加强学生的英文系统性学习,全面提高学生的学术水平和听、说、读、写能力。天爱莎河学生的GL测试结果(英语和数学)排名在 “优秀” 等级的人数远高于英国本地的标准。


多语言项目

语言是学习知识的基础和手段,在学生学习和探究世界的过程中发挥着至关重要的作用。天河爱莎学校作为一个多元文化融合社区,除了以英文作为主教学语言,以英语进行IB跨学科教学以外,学校还为学生提供了优质的文加强课程、中文课程和母语课程(意大利语、韩语、西班牙语及日语)。在英文和中文方面,学校根据学生的水平提供分层教学,以帮助学生实现个性化语言学习需求。


英文加强课程专注于以核心读写技能为主的课堂教学,包括阅读理解、写作、语法、发音、符号、词汇和口语等。教师们同时也会通过定期的小班支持课程来帮助学生完成学科课程,为英语非母语的学生提供有力的支持。


中文课程在天河爱莎学校作为一门必修课,不仅秉承了IB 探究式的教学理念,同时充分展现中西文化的精髓。母语班沿用人教版的语文教材,紧密地与本地公办学校的中文教学内容相联系,夯基固本。采用每周四节必修课+ 四节选修课的模式进行,并根据学生不同的中文程度进行分层教学。非母语班则采用对外汉语的相应教材,使不同国家和地区的孩子能随着中文的学习,感受中国文化的魅力。

母语课程为身处非母语国家的国际学生设立,弥补其母语相应的学术课程,从而通过语言让他们与自身传承的文化建立更加深厚的联系,让他们在认同自身民族文化,并接受其他文化的同时,能具备强烈的自我认同感。


辅助课程

辅助课程与学术课程相辅相成,使学生在日常的学术课程之外拥有包括艺术、音乐、体育等丰富多彩的学习经历。目前,学校共开设了超过40个俱乐部活动,涵盖了艺术和文化,体育,学术延伸等不同的种类,满足学生不同的兴趣爱好和个性化发展需求,实现全人教育。

MulticulturalCurriculum System

Following the guidance of ISA mission statement, ISA Tianhe aims to provide a balanced education system which creatively fuses the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme with the UK National Curriculum standards and outcomes. It also contains outstanding Language programme and Co-curriculum, creating a high-quality, creative, comprehensive education mode and affording the intellectual, physical, emotional and social growth of all students in a caring and supportive learning environment, and enabling students to engage positively and insightfully with people from diverse nationalities and cultures.


International Baccalaureate (IB)

The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a curriculum framework available around the world for students from 3-19 years of age. The IB Programmes encourage students to be independent thinkers and lifelong learners. Creativity and inquire are fostered in all areas of the curriculum.


UK National Curriculum Standards

The IB Framework acts as a guide to an inquiry-approach to learning and developing independence. We also adopt the UK National Curriculum Standards and content to ensure that students have superb academic level, strengthen their systematic English learning and improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. The “GIFTED AND TALENTED” proportion of students in GL Test  for English and Maths is far superior to that in the UK.


Language Programmes

Language is the basis and means of all knowledge learning. It plays a crucial role when students learn about and explore the world. Apart from using English as main teaching language, we provide strong Language Programmes at ISA Tianhe, including English as an Additional Language (EAL), Chinese and Mother Tongue (Italian, Korean, Spanish and Japanese) to help students achieve a higher quality education.


EAL Programme focuses on core reading and writing skills, including reading comprehension, writing, grammar, pronunciation, symbol and vocabulary, as well as giving students confidence in speaking. At the same time, teachers will help students finish the subject courses through regular support courses.


Chinese Programme has not only adhered to the philosophy of IB education and striven to build an elite international education model, but it has also fully demonstrated and blended the essence of Chinese and western cultures. We use Chinese textbooks published by the People’s Education Press (PEP), closely following the teaching contents of the local public schools. We provide four compulsory courses and four elective courses for students per week and conducts stratified teaching according to students’ Chinese level. Our non-mother tongue Chinese program, on the other hand, adopts the teaching materials for foreigners to ensure that children of different countries and regions can also experience the fascinating Chinese culture through studying the language.

Mother Tongue Programme aims to help international students from other countries learn their mother tongues. The programme enables students to develop into emotionally secure individuals, feeling connected to their family’s culture, aware of a variety of other cultures and developing a strong sense of their identity.

The co-curriculum is a set of learning experiences that augments the academic curriculum so that each student is exposed to a rich and varied array of experiences which can include the arts, music, sports, and many more. Now, we provide more than 40 club activities to meet students' different hobbies and individual development needs and realize holistic education.

From this year, ISA Tianhe co-curriculum programme is professionally managed by the school and the ISA International Academy. With the establishment of the ISA International Academy, it provides students with a richer variety of choices. The launch of ISA International Academy mini program also further optimizes and improves the convenience of the course selection. We will continue to provide more systematic and professional course services to our students while improving the co-curriculum operations system.

优质餐食


舌尖上的美味 | 天河爱莎餐厅

餐厅由学校自聘的五星级大厨主理,食材由麦德龙和其它优质供应商提供,所有原材料均可溯源,保证出品安全。学校餐点品种多样,充分考虑学生的营养需求、宗教信仰、饮食文化差异等问题,为全校幼儿园至小学来自全球近三十个国家的学生提供营养丰富、中西结合的午餐和课间餐。餐厅的厨房和制餐区域均符合高要求的卫生标准,食材的购买、运输、储存、准备以及烹饪全程均在学校严格的监管下完成。


多点覆盖的校车

学校现开设有13条校车线,辐射广州市内多个区域。每条线均配有跟车老师管理,跟车老师与家长和学校密切联系,为学生出行安全保驾护航。校车采用现代车型,按规定注册,定期保养。校车司机资质优秀,持校车驾驶证,驾驶经验丰富。


专业校医

学校配备专业医生作为校医。校医拥有10 年以上医务工作经验,每天为全校学生提供专业的健康医疗服务。校医、班级老师和学生家长之间保持紧密的联系,确保校医和班级老师了解每一位学生的身体健康状况,并对身体不适的学生给予及时且有效的照顾。


四大学院制

每个天河爱莎学生与员工都有自己所属的学院,学院制让学生和员工具有强烈的归属感。学院制贯穿于学生整个学年,涉及校园生活的各个方面,并以积分制的形式鼓励良性竞争,促进校风建设和发展,并对积极向上的行为做出鼓励。在学校各大趣味活动中,学生以学院为单位参与,跨越了班级之间的界限,增进社区成员之间的沟通与互动。

Supportive and Caring School Environment

School canteen

Canteen at ISA Tianhe

The school Canteen is operated by the school itself. All the ingredients are supplied by Metro AG and other respectable suppliers and are healthy and of a high quality. ISA Tianhe has attracted students and teachers from over 30 countries. Therefore, rich and diverse dishes can meet the dietary needs of students from different countries. When cooking food, some students' religious beliefs and cultural differences in diet are fully considered. Our canteen and serving areas are maintained to the very highest standard of hygiene and cleanliness. All precautions are taken with purchasing, transporting, storing, preparing and serving food.


School bus 

At present, ISA Tianhe provides 13 school bus lines, reaching different districts in Guangzhou. We have school staff on every bus. The school staff keep close in touch with parents and school to ensure students’ safety. Our buses are modern, regularly serviced and registered. The school bus driver has excellent qualifications, holds a school bus driver's license, and has rich driving experience.


School nurse

The school is equipped with a professional doctor who has more than 10 years of work experience. She provides professional medical services to all students in the school every day. The school nurse keeps close touch with class teachers and parents to ensure that the school doctors and class teachers understand the physical health of each student and provide timely and effective care to students who are unwell.


House System

Every student and staff member of ISA Tianhe has his/her own house, which builds a strong sense of community among the school. Each house accumulates points throughout the year based on student participation in all aspects of student life. It is structured to encourage healthy competition, develop school spirit and reward positive actions. In some of the school events, students represent their houses to participate in, which breaks the wall between classes and enhances the communication and interaction between community members.

Parent-School Communication

The school attaches great importance to the close communication between parents and school. We strive to provide parents with an open, effective and all-round communication system to ensure the same educational philosophy of parents and school. ISA Tianhe provides parents with convenient online communication channels such as email, WeChat, and official website. Taking localization into consideration, every class has a WeChat account to ensure that parents can be well informed of what happen inside the class in a timely and effective manner. In addition, the school also organizes offline events such as Parents-Teachers Conferences, Back To School Night, Information Sessions, Assemblies, ect., to allow parents to enter the campus, have face-to-face communication with teachers and learn about the school curriculum and students life. A sound parent-school communication system promotes parents and the school to jointly build a more holistic learning community  for students.

Rich Community Resources  

Great school with multiple authorization

Since its establishment, ISA Tianhe has always been committed to providing students with top educational resources and the best learning experience. The school has received IB PYP and IB MYP authorization, a literally IB World School. At the same time, the school also successfully applied to be the IGCSE designated examination centre and the LAMDA (London Arts and Music) centre, enabling students access to top educational resources. With its solid school-running strength, the school has been recognized by many parents and industry media, experts and institutions. ISA International Academy

The ISA International Academy is committed to providing students with services that help develop their character strengths. We provide professional and personalized guidance and evaluation to cultivate competitive talents with all-round development through not only diverse and professional quality courses, but also academic training, competition, outdoor exploration, social practice, self-reflection and assessment reports.


ISA International Academy cooperates with the school to help the school build a more complete and professional co-curriculum system. The Academy invites well-known professionals to teach in person and cooperate with well-recognised institutions to jointly conduct curriculum development and teaching so that we can provide students with personalized teaching and realize holistic education.


ISA Charity Fund

Founded in December 2017, ISA Charity Fund (ICF) was initiated by ISA International School of Guangzhou and is subordinate to Guangzhou Charity Association. Adhering to the ISA Vision statement of "Inquiry, Succeed, Act", we integrate charity into the ISA curriculum system, encouraging students to participate in public activities, and fostering students' sense of social responsibility and the spirit of contribution to society.

The school encourages students to participate in or launch charity events, so that students can cultivate creativity and a sense of social responsibility. So far, students have led many on-campus charity events such as "Crazy Hair Day" and "Walkathon". They have used creative activities to call on more school students to participate in charity and raise funds for charity funds. In addition, the school also organizes students to participate in inter-school exchange activities to help people in need.
