On January 13th, in order to maintain the cohesion of the Jinan education brand, promote interchange among affiliated schools, and improve the development quality of affiliated schools, the 2021 Annual Conference of the Principals of the Affiliated School (Kindergarten) of Jinan University was successfully held in the Affiliated School of Jinan University for Hong Kong and Macao Students. The principals of five schools and one kindergarten affiliated to Jinan University made their presentations. Ms. Hong An, Vice President of Jinan University (JNU), Mr. Hou Hongwei, Director of Primary and Elementary Education Office of JNU, Ms. Liang Yan, Director of the International Liaison Office, participated in the conference. Mr. Cheng King Leung, Chief Principal of ASJ, attended online from Hong Kong and he expressed a warm welcome to all the guests. Mr. Hou Hongwei chaired the conference.

Mr. Chen Hongwei, Principal of the Affiliated Primary School of Jinan University and the Middle School Attached to Jinan University, reported on the achievements of the schools in terms of the Party building and moral education of students. He also reported on implementing the double reduction policy, improving the quality of teaching, the construction of campus culture, and the favourable measures taken to lead the internal development of the affiliated schools. 

Ms. Wang Yanyan, Principal of Jinan University Kindergarten, summarised the achievements of the kindergarten in the Party building, teacher training, logistics and child health care. She showed a video of various large-scale activities held by the kindergarten in the past year. 

Mr. Lv Jun, Principal of the Experimental School Affiliated to Jinan University, reviewed the path of the school's establishment and showed the outstanding achievements made by the school in just one semester in terms of school management, moral education and teaching. 

Ms. Jessica Feng, Executive Principal of ASJ, reported on ASJ's mission, the efforts made by the school in terms of educational philosophy, environment creation, hardware and software facilities configuration, as well as the creation of a special curriculum for Hong Kong and Macao students, and the in-depth cooperation with Jinan University.

Ms. Gong Dingqi, Principal of Chongde Elementary School Affiliated to Jinan University, introduced the opening of the school and reported on the efforts and achievements made in enhancing the campus environment, teachers' teaching training and students' campus activities. She said that the school will continue to enrich the content of Jinan Chongde. In their reports, the principles also elaborated on the direction of their next efforts.

This is the first time that Jinan University has organised a conference for principles of affiliated schools (kindergarten) since its external cooperation in elementary education. In September 2021, three schools under Jinan Elementary Education opened simultaneously. We are committed to bringing into play the spirit of Jinan in the field of elementary education and assuming education responsibility. The 2021 Annual Conference of the Principals of the Affiliated School (Kindergarten) of Jinan University aims to give each school a platform to summarise and showcase as well as to learn from each other and promote the improvement of school operation.

Ms. Hong An hoped that a regular communication mechanism among principals of the affiliated schools could be established to promote coordination among the affiliated schools. She also acknowledged the achievements of ASJ. She thought that ASJ reflected humanistic care in all aspects of campus construction, curriculum, and activities, and the campus was built in high quality.

Mr. Lucas Deng expressed that all the affiliated schools were of the same origin, and the connections among these schools would be strengthened in the future. ASJ would not forget the initial ideals and aspirations and adhere to constructing a high-quality and high-standard education under the leadership of Jinan University.

Representatives from the Primary and Elementary Education Office of JNU， International Liaison Office of JNU, and ASJ were present at the conference.
