This building, which runs through the "learner-centred" design concept of ISA Liwan, in the symbol of the most characteristic green brick wall of traditional Lingnan architecture and the relationship between mountain shape and tree shape in the artistic conception of Lingnan garden into architectural façade, and integrates into modern simple atmosphere. The finished architecture presented by this exquisite integration are praised by the guests.

The design of the interior of the building is also simple and natural, and the materials are quite environmentally friendly. The construction and decoration materials are selected according to the world’s most stringent American WELL standards. The “inquiry classroom” specially designed for small-sized class teaching (less than 24) is equipped with  intelligent teaching equipment, as well as flexible layout of movable desks and chairs. 

Covering 90 mu (15 acres), the world-class facilities and equipment in ISA Liwan will gradually be unveiled to the public:

On the open day, the principals of each divisions set the real class scene from the aspects of classroom layout to content setting. The teaching mode of the IB, which is highly recognized around the world, has become a lively experience class under the creativity of the principals.

“Play-based learning” in kindergarten,“transdisciplinary learning" in primary school, “interdisciplinary learning” in junior high school, and "making full preparations for university" in senior high school. Parents are pleasantly surprised to find that in the interaction and experience, each child's "IB gene" has been discovered. They are willing to explore and try to be risk takers as well as know how to reflect, and care for others.

On the same day, the representative teaching teams of the major centres also launched the experience class for the students and parents.

Dr. Tony Chen, coordinator of the ISA Liwan Science Centre, has prepared science and technology courses suitable for different age groups for children from kindergarten to senior high school. The course focuses on PBL (project-based learning), cultivating children's critical thinking, teamwork, communication skills and innovative creativity, including AI (artificial intelligence) robots, engineering manufacturing equipment, electronic circuit equipment, communication modules, computer programming, testing equipment, and dozens of different sensors.

Mr Bai Yu, who comes from a music family, leads the children to explore music. The school's art curriculum combines groups and individuals, popularization and promotion, in order to improve each student's personalized one-on-one artistic attainments.   

The experienced IB PE teacher, teacher Dean, seems to have magic in his class, so that people as young as 2 years old and as old as adults can immerse themselves into the joy of sports within five minutes, and they were inundated in varieties of activities such as "balloon chain" and "escaping from rainbow cloth". Parents were surprised that their children can "understand" the teacher's instructions and tips even if they didn’t know English well. This is the charm of body language and emotional language. 

Jessie Hou and Emma Liu at the College Counselling Centre provided one-on-one counselling for children and parents. They told them it is more rational to choose a country to spend their four years in a suitable academic environment, living environment and future employment direction than just looking at the country and world ranking. To reach this goal, the professional tutor in ISA Liwan will provide personalized support for students and their families throughout the application procedure, which is committed to helping every student explore the best choice for further studies by teaching guidance courses for students in grades 9-12.

The British boarding programme in ISA Liwan has also attracted the parents. With more than 30 years of education and British boarding experience, Mr. Simon Smith has focused on boarding beyond eating and sleeping to the pastoral system and the development of students' self-management. He believes that the pastoral system can look after and cultivate a student's emotional and social well-being, helping them to grow into responsible citizens, reach their full potential, flourish, and become the best versions of themselves they can be.
