Dear Parents,

亲爱的家长，

I’m very excited to be joining ISA Science City as your new Head of School. 

我很高兴作为新校长加入广州科学城爱莎外籍人员子女学校。

We have a wonderful campus here and the team have made great achievements in just two short years, including now being an IB World School offering the PYP, MYP and DP programs. Credit to Mr. Edwards and the staff here for all their hard work. 

爱莎科学城学校是一个环境优美且实力强大的校园，学校自创校起，在短短两年内取得了巨大成就，包括成为一所拥有PYP、MYP和DP全认证的IB世界学校。在此也非常感谢创校校长David先生以及全体工作人员的努力。

We will start this new year with an expanding and new look team, but we hope to carry on the great foundation that has been laid.

在即将到来的新学年，在更多新鲜血液加入的同时，我们希望日益壮大的校园社区能够延续一直以来追求卓越的精神，续写更多精彩的故事，更进一竿。

Since I started on campus last Friday, I have been trying hard to learn as much as possible about our school community including meeting some leaders, teachers, students and parents to get a variety of perspectives. I am sure my education about Science City will contnue right through the summer and to continue to evolve just as the school will.

我从上周五开始正式加入爱莎科学城学校，在这一周里，我与校领导团队成员、教师、学生和家长进行了深入的交流，通过他们的视角细致地了解了我们学校的各个方面。

I am looking at what great things have been acheived already and what areas we need to improve. In eveything we do we can always all get better and we are looking forwrad to hearing your feedback through the parent survey sent out last week. I will then take this information about what we do well and what we can do better, and along with our leadership team we will put together action plans for these areas.

在这个过程中，我也认真了解了学校已获得的各项成就，并思考我们可以提升的空间。追求卓越的精神要求我们对待每一件事精益求精，我期待所有家长都能够参与学校于上周发出的学期调查问卷填写，学校将对每一份宝贵反馈进行综合分析，针对家长的建议和意见制定进一步的行动计划，为学生提供更强的学术支持和更多元的成长环境。

I look forward to sharing these plans with parents at our Orientation and Welcome sessions in August.

我非常期待在八月的迎新日上与大家分享学校新学年的目标与计划。

I hope all of our families enjoy their summer and use it productively. No matter whether you are taking a holiday somewhere or spending your time at home I strongly encourage all of our students to read everyday. Reading is the secret to success. 

最后，我衷心希望每个家庭都能够享受美妙的暑假时光，同时希望所有的学生有效利用假期时间，无论在家中或是在外度假，都别忘记保持每天阅读的好习惯，因为阅读是通往成功的秘诀。
