从2022年8月起，东华文泽学校正式开启国际文凭大学预科项目（IBDP）的教学工作。6大组别、18门课程，供由学生任意选择。一切工作已准备就绪，享有国际教育界“黄金标准”美誉的DP项目现已登陆TWIS！

Tungwah Wenzel International School is launching the Diploma Programme with 18 subjects of 6 groups to choose from starting in August 2022. Everything is now in place to have a great start of the high school curriculum known internationally as the gold standard.

TWIS将会为MYP中学生和DP大学预科项目学生提供雅思考试准备课程。由于众多大学把雅思学术类考试成绩列为学生评估标准之一，TWIS将通过提供雅思考试练习，让学生了解考试形式，以及广泛地培养学生的阅读和写作能力，为其获得优异的雅思考试成绩做好充分的准备。

IELTS Preparation classes will be made available for MYP & DP students. Since most universities require academic IELTS test for admission, we will prepare our students to become successful in this exam by taking practice tests, understanding the format, and develop a wide range of reading and writing skills.

TWIS将提供更多辅助学生参与校外比赛的机会，例如SASMO（新加坡暨亚洲数学奥林匹克竞赛）、HSK（中国汉语水平考试）、法语语言水平考试、ABRSM（英国皇家音乐学院联合委员会）音乐考级等。

TWIS will provide more opportunities for students to earn recognition beyond the school. The external examinations we are looking forward to include SASMO, HSK Chinese Proficiency Test, French language proficiency exam, and ABRSM music exams.

新学年，迎接我们的还有各式各样的校内比赛，包括“拼字蜜蜂”比赛（Spelling Bee）、知识杯（Knowledge Bowl）、故事会（Story-telling）、TWIS演讲（TWIS Talks）和辩论大赛（Great Debate）等。我们坚信，良性且健康的竞争环境可以激励学生，促使他们全力以赴克服一切困难；同时，它可以激发学生的兴趣与热情，点燃其内心的火焰。

Next year, we will be holding several in-school competitions. The list includes Spelling Bee, Knowledge Bowl, Story-telling, TWIS Talks and Debate. We believe that healthy competition motivates students and it sparks interest, and passion and ignites a fire within.

TWIS的表演艺术部门正日渐壮大！我们将迎来优秀且专业的舞蹈教师，为所有年级的学生提供舞蹈课程。因此，请准备好你的舞鞋，一起跟随音乐感受身体的律动。我们期待着多种多样的TWIS舞蹈队的诞生！

Our performing arts program is getting bigger! With the hiring of a dance instructor par excellence, we will launch our dance program for all grade levels. So get your dancing shoes ready and feel the rhythm! We are looking forward to forming dance teams at TWIS.

随着舞蹈项目课程的开启，TWIS音乐学院的设立也随之而来。经过上学期的一项调研，我们发现不少家庭希望让他们的孩子接受一对一训练或小组指导，从而发展孩子在钢琴、吉他、架子鼓或美声等方面的才艺与天赋。由于反应热烈，学校董事会通过这项提议。期待我们在新学年与更美妙的音乐邂逅！

Along with the dance program, we are opening the TWIS Music Academy. Last semester, we conducted a survey on the number of families interested in having their children receive one-on-one or small group instruction to learn or continue to develop their skills in piano, guitar, drums, and voice, among others. As there was an overwhelming response, the school board approved the Music Academy proposal. We will look forward to more musical encounters next academic year.

上学期，我们通过选举学生代表迈出了赋予学生权力的第一步。本学期，我们将成立学生会，让其代表全体学生在TWIS社区内争取学生福利以提高学生的学习体验。学生会将通过举行全校性的活动和庆典来丰富学生的课余生活，并建立一个沟通平台让每位学生都拥有发言权。有兴趣成为学生会其中一员的学生可以开始计划竞选活动了，祝大家顺利当选！

Last semester, we took the first step in empowering our students by electing student representatives. This semester, we are ready to launch the Student Council to enhance student welfare by representing student interests to the larger TWIS community. The Student Council will augment student life by facilitating school-wide activities and events; and will give each student a voice by providing a platform for communication. Students who are interested in becoming student leaders can now start planning for their campaign to be elected into office.

随着学生会的建立，TWIS也将成立家长教师协会（PTA）——为家长和教师提供一个公开讨论的场所，让他们得以表达自己的建议，从而更好地帮助学校社区成长。PTA的建立，旨在更好地提高学校、学生、家长和学校职员的幸福感。欢迎有意向的家长加入我们的队列，一起来参与这项富有意义的行动！

Alongside the Student Council, we will establish our Parent-Teacher Association. The PTA will provide a forum for parents and teachers to work together to support the school, voice their concerns and build a school community. The PTA aims to promote the welfare of the School, our students, parents and staff. Parents are invited to join us in this worthy endeavor.
