中学部| 蓄力启航,与学生携手共成长

教师是学校发展的灵魂。为了进一步加强教师队伍建设,在8月15日到8月30日,广州暨大港澳子弟学校中学部对44位中外籍教师进行了培训。


培训圆满结束,教师们以饱满的姿态投入到新学年的教学工作中。



01

制度学习,为新学年做好准备

ASJ Institutional learning: 

prepare for the new academic year

俗话说:没有规矩,不成方圆。开学第一天,学校向全体教师阐述了ASJ的使命宣言和教育理念,同时也清晰地告知了全体教师ASJ的管理制度,以使所有教师能够进一步清晰学校的管理制度。


在遵守学校制度的前提下,充分发挥创造力,在实践中践行学校的使命,从而实现学校的教育理念和愿景。

重启教育使命

Redefine ASJ education mission

 “每个学生皆可成才”不仅仅是一句口号,更是ASJ的奉行的教育理念。在学部培训中,中学部教学负责人金燕燕以“我们需要什么样的人?我们要培养怎样的学生”开始了一天的培训。


教师们结合自己的教学经验,以绘画、图片或角色扮演的方式阐述了自己的教育理想,最终将IB的十种人作为学生的培养目标,同时也以IB倡导的“为创造一个更美好、更和平的世界”作为教育教学的最终理念。

我们做怎样的课程

What kind of curriculum do we do?

IB课程的实施不仅仅是教育理念的在学习者社区的传递,更是严谨的课程的构建和实施。


为了充分推进IB课程在ASJ的实施,中学部的教师们用2周的时间对整个课程进行全面的规划与设计。在此期间,老师们不仅完成了学科的教学大纲,同时也协作完成了第一单元的教学计划。


同时,为了更好地促进单元计划的实施,教师们再次结合总结性评估任务对整个单元教学计划进行审核,从而使得教学与评估能够更加紧密地结合,进而保证教师教学的有效性。

如何进行课堂管理

How to conduct classroom management?

教学理念的实施离不开有效的课堂管理。


为了让教师进一步意识到课堂管理的重要性,金燕燕老师带领教师们就课堂管理进行了全面讨论,教师们从建立归属感的课堂,到课堂基本规则的建立,到建立有效的学术期待等方面进行了讨论。


通过讨论,教师们进一步明确,课堂的管理、班级的建设不仅仅是班主任一人的工作,而是全体教师共同努力的结果。因此,所有的教师都应该在共同的课堂制定下实施教学,这样才能更好地建立高效有序的课堂。

From August 15 to August 30, the department of Middle Years Program prepared a two-week professional training for 44 teachers who came from China or other countries. All the teachers have already fully engaged in intense teaching preparations.

As the saying goes: Nothing can be accomplished without norms or standards. On the first day of school, the school explained ASJ's mission statement and educational philosophy to all teachers, and also clearly informed all teachers of the ASJ management system, so that all teachers are fully aware of the school's management system. 

Under the premise of abiding by the school system, we give teachers full play to creativity and practice, to align with ASJ's educational philosophy and vision.

重启教育使命

"Every student can succeed" is not only a slogan, but also the educational philosophy pursued by ASJ. In the department training, Jin Yanyan, the head of teaching in the middle school department, began the first day’s training with"What kind of person do we need? What kind of students are we going to cultivate? ". 

Combined with their own teaching experience, the teachers explained their educational ideals by drawing, pictures, or role-playing. Finally, they deepened their understanding of the attributes of the learner profile. Together, we also took the "to create a better and more peaceful world" advocated by IB as the ultimate goal of education and teaching.

我们做怎样的课程

What kind of curriculum do we do?

The implementation of the IB curriculum is not only the transmission of educational ideas in the learner community but also the construction and implementation of a rigorous curriculum. 

To fully promote the implementation of the IB curriculum in ASJ, the teachers of the Middle School spent two weeks planning and designing the entire curriculum. During this period, teachers not only completed the reviewing of the subject overview but also collaborated to complete the teaching plan of the first unit.

At the same time, to better promote the implementation of the unit plan, teachers once again reviewed the entire unit teaching plan in combination with the summative assessment task, so that teaching and assessment can be more closely integrated, thereby ensuring the effectiveness of teachers' teaching.

如何进行课堂管理

How to conduct classroom management?

The implementation of the teaching concept is inseparable from effective classroom management. 


To make teachers more aware of the importance of classroom management, Jin Yanyan led the teachers to have a comprehensive discussion on classroom management, from building a sense of belonging in the classroom, to establishing basic rules in the classroom, to establishing effective academic expectations and other aspects. 


Through the discussion, the teachers made it clear that classroom management and class construction are not only the work of the head teacher alone but the result of the joint efforts of all teachers. Therefore, all teachers should implement teaching under the common classroom formulation, to better establish an efficient and orderly classroom.
