As part of EY4 first Unit of Inquiry "Who We Are" the students have been learning how the choices they make can affect our physical and mental well-being. EY4 have been learning about taking care of their themselves for example choosing healthy foods, exercise, the importance of sleep and how we can care for our physical bodies. 

爱莎天河EY4的学生开启了本学年的第一个探究单元 ——“我们是谁”。在探究单元学习的过程中，学生们在老师的指引下探究“选择”将如何影响身体和精神的健康。同时，他们还学习了如何更好地照顾自己的身体，例如选择健康的食物、定期运动和保持充足的睡眠。

We were very fortunate that a local Dental Surgery were able to come into school and speak to the students about how to care for their teeth. When the dentist first arrived, he asked the children to tell him what they thought he does for a job, many guessed he was a dentist and could describe what a dentist does. Then he asked how many teeth the students had in their mouths, all the children all had lots of fun trying to count! 

作为IB探究式教学的一部分，我们有幸邀请到了广州著名牙科医院的牙科医生到校向学生们展示如何更加有效健康地护理牙齿。活动开场，学生们对演讲人的职业充满了好奇，纷纷进行猜测。许多学生准确地猜出了他的职业并能够认知和描述出牙医的工作内容和职责。随后，牙医向学生们提问每个人嘴里有多少颗牙齿，顿时孩子们都使出浑身解数开心地数了起来。

Next, we moved on to the important div of how we keep our teeth healthy, the dentist used a large model to explained how many times to brush each day, how long for and the up/down motion needed. The students practiced brushing their teeth with their fingers. The dentist showed the students a fun song that explained how to brush properly and the students all sang along.

接下来便是本次活动的重要环节---学习如何保持牙齿健康。牙医讲解了每天应该刷牙的次数和刷牙时长，并借助牙齿模型向学生们展示正确的刷牙姿势。学生们也纷纷用他们的手指练习刷牙。牙医还给学生们播放了一首有趣的歌曲，更加生动形象地解释了如何正确刷牙。
