During our first ever English Week, students of all grades across the school have enjoyed a wide range of interesting and exciting activities, all designed to inspire students to continue increasing and improving their use of English.  Even more importantly, English Week is meant to be a celebration of the multilingual nature of our community, and our students’ ability to use English as an important tool to communicate and build relationships even with those who come from completely different countries, cultures, and backgrounds. 

为了激发学生学习与运用英文的兴趣和积极性，本周，学校首次举办了“英语周”，鼓励全校各年级学生参与。更重要的是，我们希望通过英语周，促进学生之间的跨文化交际能力，并鼓励他们将英语作为一个重要的沟通工具与不同文化背景的成员建立联系。

Knowing that most of our students don’t have many opportunities to practice their English skills while outside of school, we are committed to creating more spaces and opportunities for them to use and improve their English. This will help students be better prepared to face their future and enable them to achieve the dreams and goals. 

考虑到大多数学生在校外并没有太多练习英语技能的时间，学校也在为学生积极创造更多提高英语技能的机会，帮助他们更从容地应对当前的学习和未来的挑战。

English Week was infused and felt throughout the school at many different levels, from fun trivia games hosted by the library to daily silent reading sessions in every homeroom. Members of the Senior Leadership Team read stories to our students every day of the week during recess and lunch time, while other grade levels practiced their creativity writing short stories and creating their very own superheroes.  

本周的英语周以一系列的“小活动”渗入学生的教学与课间时光：如课堂中设置“静读”环节、高管团队成员在为幼儿园和小学孩子讲故事、高年级的学生进行短篇故事创作等。

As we conclude this week, we are very happy to see our students engaged in our vibrant community, and look forward to continue providing them with similarly enriching and meaningful activities that complement the education experience at our school.
