Recently, the 4th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Lifelong Learning Lecture Hall of Tsinghua University was held, with the theme of "Education Development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in the New Era", which deeply discussed how to promote the coordinated development of education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area under the new situation.
As a school for students from Hong Kong and Macao, Guangzhou Affiliated School of Jinan University for Hong Kong and Macao Students (ASJ) was founded under the guidance of a renowned mainland university in the Greater Bay Area, and it carries a huge mission with great significance. Mr. Cheng King Leung, the Chief Principal of our school, was invited to attend the summit and gave a keynote speech on the theme of Integration of courses in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

First of all, Mr. Cheng shared how to further improve the policy on the schooling of migrant children of cross-regional employees. Mr. Cheng believes that from the practical results, the Bay Area must provide a strong inclusive education curriculum that can be connected with the international community, and can be further through multiple channels. The establishment of the Hong Kong and Macao Children's School is to integrate the bridging and curriculum content to provide a new education model and curriculum system, which is also one of ASJ's key teaching concepts.
Secondly, Mr. Cheng said that in order to better integrate education, educators must do a good job in patriotic education; To create a high-level technological innovation carrier and platform, with a new IT education curriculum to cultivate new IT knowledge; Cultivate a large number of talents with foreign language skills; It is necessary to assist the country in fulfilling its international citizenship responsibilities and do a good job in green environmental protection education and practice.
▲To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, a friendly speech contest was held by ASJ and Diocesan Girls’ School (DGS) in Hong Kong.
As one of the pioneers in the integration of education in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, ASJ attaches great importance to the cultivation of international language skills so that students can connect with the world in the future. The school's regular curriculum focuses on developing students' biliteracy and trilingualism (Chinese, English, Putonghua, Cantonese and English) as the core language skills. In non-formal classes, other foreign language training is added to extracurricular activities.
Mr. Cheng lastly emphasized the importance of patriotic education, physical education and science and technology education in cultivating high-quality talents.
