On Tuesday 18th April, the boys had an A team and B team entered in the “invitational cup” against NAS and UISZ. The boys had been looking forward to the match since it was postponed and were keen to compete against other schools. The weather was overcast and there was a little drizzle but that was not going to dampen their spirits. In the opening matches both the “A” and “B” teams were competitive and showed good organization and team spirit. Both teams can be proud of their performances and were a credit to the school. The winners of the group were ISA “A” who were undefeated and ISA “B” came third. The final was against ISA and UISZ. The match ebbed and flowed from end to end with both goalkeepers keeping their sides in the game. At the final whistle the score was 0-0 so a penalty shoot-out would decide the winners. Having taken 3 penalties each, the score was tied so it would go to sudden death. After a further 2 more penalties it was stilled tied. Luke then converted his penalty and UISZ failed to score therefore ISA won the invitational football trophy.

4月18日（周二），爱莎天河与NAS和UISZ的足球“邀请杯”比赛如期开展，男生队分别有A、B两组。几周前，因天气原因比赛不得不推迟，但是孩子们的热情依旧不减，时时刻刻都期待着与其他学校进行校际联赛。比赛当天下午，虽然天气阴沉，下着蒙蒙细雨，但这丝毫不影响孩子们对比赛的激动心情。在首场比赛中，A队和B队的实力不相上下，两队之间互相角逐，展现出强大的组织能力和团队合作精神。两支队伍的队员们均为自己的在赛场上的表现感到骄傲，为校争光。首场比赛的冠军是爱莎天河A队，B队则获得第三名。爱莎天河A队和UISZ成功进入决赛。比赛全程，双方门将均恪尽职守。终场哨声响起时，双方比分为0-0，因此将通过点球大战来决定胜负。双方各踢了3个点球，比分打平，比赛陷入了僵局。再次踢了2个点球后，双方仍是平局。Luke决定通过抛硬币取代点球大战，UISZ没有得分，最后爱莎天河斩获了本次足球邀请赛的奖杯。

The MVP awards went to James and Tony who both pulled of awesome saves though out the competition. Well done everyone and thank you to everyone who came and supported the teams.

本场MVP奖颁给了James和Tony，他们在赛场上展现出拼搏精神。每位学生都表现优异，在赛场上竭尽全力，也感谢所有到场的观众。

Our Y2/3 girls football team played their first football match, scoring their first goal. We played a series of 3 matches against a girls team from UISZ, also playing their first football games, with the series finishing 1-1, a fair result for the equally matched teams.

二年级和三年级的女子足球队首次参加足球赛，在与UISZ共进行了3场比赛中，踢进了属于她们的第一颗球。为了保证比赛的公平性，两个队伍都是首次参加足球赛，实力旗鼓相当，比赛最终以1-1结束。

Displaying all the qualities they have been practicing during Thursday club time, perseverance, determination, and teamwork the girls gave 100% effort throughout the three matches playing in different positions, gaining invaluable experience, and having a great time while playing.

At the end, a girl from each team was selected by the other school’s coach as MVP, for leadership, positive attitude and sportsmanship. ISA’s MVP for the day was Y3 Bella Jung, congratulations Bella!

在3场比赛中，女孩们展现了她们在周四俱乐部课程所练习的品质，毅力、决心、团队精神。她们在赛场上发挥了100%的努力，不仅获得了宝贵的经验，还度过了美好的时光。最后，双方教练评选一名来自对方球队的球员作为本场MVP球员，以表彰其领导力、积极的态度、良好的体育精神。爱莎天河女子足球队MVP球员为三年级的Bella Jung，我们祝贺Bella！

The first milestone of the “ISA Tianhe development centre” has now been achieved. The first was to give everyone an opportunity to play competitive sport against another school. The PE dept have now given 40 boys and girls from year 2 to year 5 the chance to play competitive sport. The second milestone is to give the pupils the opportunity to compete against other schools in multiple sports which the PE dept are working towards by the end of the year.

爱莎天河成功实现了第一块里程碑，让每一位学生都有机会参与校际联赛，与其他学生进行体育竞技的同时，相互交流。目前为止，体育部已经为二年级到五年级的40名学生提供了参加竞技体育的机会。我们正朝着第二块里程碑努力，让学生们有机会进行多种体育项目的校际联赛，并且体育部正在努力争取在今年年底实现这一目标！
