Greenland Field Trip 户外探究 | 领略大自然的美妙之处

On Monday 22nd May EY4 went to Green Farm,
the children’s excitement on the bus was contagious and we all set off in high
spirit. On arrival we all gathered in a shaded picnic area specially set out
with child sized wooden tables and canvas chairs, for drinks and snacks. It’s
always a crucial part of any school trip for the children to share their snacks
with their classmates and their teachers!
在5月22日(周一),幼儿园大班的孩子前往了郊外的绿色农场。到达目的地后,学生和老师聚在一起进行了一场户外野餐,相互分享零食和食物。我们希望通过学校旅行让学生懂得相互帮助和分享,让世界变得更美好。
The Tree Top Rope walk was the most
challenging activity but also the most exhilarating for the children. They were
harnessed to a cable and had to learn to clip and unclip their own carabiner. Students
had to walk across rope ladders, chains, flat cord and various obstacles that
were attached between the trees. It was a very brave activity for them to have
mastered and we were very proud of all the children when they had finished the
course.
本次户外探究学习中,最具有挑战性的活动是绳索步行。对于孩子们而言,此项活动令他们感到兴奋又富有挑战。在缆绳上行走时,孩子必须学会夹住和解开卡环的同时,穿过绳梯、链条、扁绳和各种连接在树之间的障碍物。绳索步行项目非常考验孩子们的意志力,当他们顺利完成时,我们为所有勇气可嘉的孩子们都感到非常自豪。
There was also a zip line that students
rode on across a 20-meter space. They were strapped into a chair and wore a
safety helmet. The ground staff pulled them across and back to shouts of
delight and laughter.
接下来学生还体验了儿童绳索滑道项目,他们需要滑过长为20米的绳索。在工作人员的帮助下,学生坐在有安全绳保护的椅子上,戴上安全头盔后朝着前方滑动,再滑回来。孩子们大呼过瘾,笑声不断。
One of the favorite activities for all was
the grass slide. Each child sat in a small plastic sled and held onto a rope
then went racing down the grass slope to the bottom with joyous outbursts. They
then raced back up to the top of the hill to have another turn.
其中最受欢迎的项目之一是滑草。每个孩子都坐在一个塑料雪橇里,抓着一根安全绳,从草坡上快速地滑到坡底。接着他们意犹未尽地从坡底飞快地跑回山顶,再来一回。
After lunch we spent an amazing time with
the other classes in the sunshine enjoying three different playgrounds. They
included: brightly colored swings, long and fast slides, and amusement park
rides that were powered by the teachers. There was a miniature rollercoaster, chain
swing ride, and a rockin’ pirate ship that an entire EY4 class could fit on.
There was lots of fun to be had and the children wore themselves out. At the
end of the day, we made our way to the insect/animal house, which was our last
stop.
午餐过后,我们在阳光下享受了美好的下午时光。学生在三个不同的游乐场中体验了丰富的项目,色彩鲜艳的秋千、长而快的滑梯、由老师推动的手摇船、微型过山车、链式秋千。其中还有一个摇晃的海盗船,所有的孩子们都能坐上去。他们欢乐又疲惫地来到本次旅程的最后一站,昆虫馆和动物馆。
At the insect and animal house, the
students had the opportunity to feed slices of sweet potato to a variety of
animals. EY4’s preferred animals to feed being were the baby pigs and prairie
dogs. The students got to observe a variety of insects, fish and turtles and
enjoyed applying knowledge that they had previously learned in the last unit
“Sharing the planet”.
学生在参观昆虫馆和动物馆中,他们把红薯饲料投喂各种动物。其中他们最喜欢的动物是迷你猪和草原犬。通过观察多种昆虫、鱼类、乌龟等,加深了他们在“共享地球”探究单元中所学到的知识。
Through playing and games to expand UOI
learning, helping children to know about the world and feel the charm of nature
from vision and listening.
