During summer school, the children worked on different themes in the week, such as the ocean, healthy or unhealthy food, insects, pets, pirates, etc., and carried out a series of investigative activities around these themes.

The children incorporated Maths, English, Phonics, Science and Art into their inquiry learning of animal themes, thus creating transdisciplinary learning. Drawing spiders, ladybirds and giraffes and learning about the number of spider tentacles, the colours of ladybirds, and the height of giraffes helped the children to acquire more vocabulary. These gave them a better understanding of how heights and numbers change. Finally, the teacher led the children in an outdoor exploration programme inside the Redtory, looking for spiders and observing the spiders' habitats.

孩子们在学习动物主题时，把数学、英语、自然拼读法、科学、美术等结合其中，从而形成跨学科学习。通过绘画蜘蛛、瓢虫、长颈鹿，了解蜘蛛触角的数量、瓢虫的颜色、长颈鹿的高度，帮助孩子们发展手部精细动作技能和掌握更多新的词汇，也让他们对高度和数量的变化有了更多的理解。最后，老师带领孩子们在红专厂内进行户外探究课程，寻找蜘蛛的足迹，观察蜘蛛的栖息地。

Students explored fun and unique inquiry learning weekly, such as Ancient Greece, Dragons, Board Games, space, the Zoo, Pirates, and the Ocean. Students learn from English, Maths, Geography and Art in their explorations journey. Towards the end of the summer school, students presented the results of their explorations in assembly.

Inquiry learning brought book knowledge to life and helped students learn many life skills. For example, students worked in groups to design and create a zoo, for which they designed 3D maps with the park's layout. At the same time, students had to think about the zoo's operating costs and consider the zoo's business and operational model. Finally, they designed billboards as posters to attract more "visitors".

通过有趣的探究式主题学习，让书本的知识变得鲜活起来，帮助学生了解到了许多学术以外的知识。比如学生们以小组的形式共同设计和创建一所动物园，他们为此设计了3D地图与园区内的布置。同时，学生需要思考动物园的运营成本，以及考虑动物园的经营和运营模式。最后，他们利用海报的形式设计宣传广告牌，吸引更多的“游客”。
