The fourth academic year at FCGEY is approaching rapidly. Despite the fact that the start of the school day is still a month away, we are eager to share this exciting news with you!

FCG has always been committed to blending Chinese and Western educational methodologies and adhering to the management structure of Chinese and Western cooperation. In the upcoming academic year, FCGEY will further reinforce this commitment by implementing the dual-head management system, which results from our College Head's hard work and dedication.

Implementing the dual-head system can offer students a diverse international cultural experience and instil the core principles of Chinese and Western education. Furthermore, it can enhance effective communication and interaction between Chinese and Expat teachers, promote a more inclusive, varied, and professional academic environment and opportunities, provide a better-integrated education to our students, and facilitate their all-around development and growth.

Katelyn Wu is a highly skilled and experienced educator with a bachelor’s degree in early years education, a master’s degree in education administration, and a leadership certificate from Harvard University in Early Childhood Education. With almost two decades of teaching and management experience in international schools, Katelyn has developed unique insights into the IB PYP, Emergent Curriculum, and EYFS.

Prior to joining FCG, Katelyn served as the Head of Kindergarten at a prestigious international educational organization, where she successfully implemented transformative changes. Her exceptional leadership skills were recognized when she was invited to share her experience  empowering teachers to implement pedagogical changes at a conference, highlighting her expertise in this area.

In addition to her role as Head of the Kindergarten, Katelyn also serves as the EAL Coordinator for the institution. As part of her role, she is responsible for planning and supporting expat teachers' professional development and curriculum implementation across five kindergartens.

As the new Chinese Head of FCGEY, Katelyn's primary goal is to build a team of dedicated teachers who can deliver the best EY programme for more families with Adeline, the expat Head of FCGEY.

Adeline Loong hails from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and holds a Bachelor's degree in Early Years Education from Edith Cowan University, Australia. Additionally, she is a certified trainer at the Australian Child Care Academy in Perth, where she conducts teacher training and research in the field of education.

Adeline is an accomplished practitioner in early years education, with experience as an IBPYP coordinator and extensive knowledge of the EYFS, Montessori, and PBL teaching methodologies. With over 25 years of experience designing and delivering early years education courses, Adeline is a senior early childhood education administrator.

Prior to joining FCG, Adeline worked in Malaysia, Australia, and Hong Kong before relocating to China over 15 years ago. She has held leadership positions as the Head of International Kindergartens in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou. She has gained significant experience in co-managing teams of both Chinese and Expat Heads.
