On September 4, 2023, the opening ceremony of the Fall 2023 of I-EP of Huawei Tongman Foreign Language School was held at Show Theater. With the theme of "Magic Academy", this ceremony also set up elements such as the Book of Magic and interactive figures, aiming at creating a most unforgettable opening ceremony for all teachers and students.

2023年9月4日，伴随着猫头鹰送来的霍格沃茨通知书，同学们一起穿过5972次列车，进入了本学期的开学第一课——华外创新融合部（I-EP）2023年秋季开学典礼。本次典礼以“魔法学院”为主题，会场设置了魔法之书、互动人偶等元素，力求为全体师生打造一个最难忘的开学仪式。

Raise the national flag and sing the national anthem. Welcome every grand beginning in the most solemn form. All the teachers and students of I-EP rode the autumn wind together and started afresh in the harvest season.

升国旗，奏唱国歌，用最庄严的形式迎接每一个盛大的开始。I-EP全体师生一同乘着秋风，在收获的季节里再度起航。

Standing at the beginning of the new semester, our I-EP music teacher, Gloria,  presented a solo performance of "Variations on Hedwig" to everyone in attendance. She paved the way for the new semester with her beautiful notes.

站在新学期的起点，I-EP音乐老师Gloria为在场的师生带来了《海德薇变奏曲》钢琴独奏表演，她用美妙的音符铺起了新学期的道路。

Afterwards, Mr. Liu Wei, Assistant Principal and Head of I-EP gave a speech and sent his blessings and messages to the students for the new semester.

随后，华外创新融合部校长助理兼I-EP负责人刘伟先生发表演讲，为同学们送上了新学期的祝福与寄语。

没有人生来就擅长做所有的事情，通过努力你才会变得专业；第一次参加新的体育项目时，你不会是校队的主力队员；第一次唱一首歌时，你不会唱得准每个音；你需要练习，对于你的学业来说也是同样的道理。做一道数学题，你可能要做几次才能做对；阅读一些材料，你可能要读几遍才能理解；写出一篇作文，你肯定要改几稿才能改好，然后上交。

一些世界上最成功的人往往也是遭遇失败最多的人：J.K.罗琳，《哈利.波特》的作者，第一部《哈利.波特》在出版前被退稿12次；迈克尔.乔丹曾被他的高中篮球队裁掉，在他的职业生涯里，他输掉数百场比赛，有数千个投篮没中，而他是这样说的：在我的一生中，我失败了一次、又一次，无数次，这就是我成功的原因。

当然，我们的路还很长，没人能够代替你来定义你的未来。在I-EP，只有你自己才能够书写命运，创造未来。

In I-EP, we have five houses featuring both traditional culture and international elements. These are not only the identity symbols of I-EP, but also the cultural carriers of the school for breaking down grade barriers and bringing the younger and older students together. During the opening ceremony, representatives of the captains of each of the five house took the stage to speak and boost morale. They vividly explaining the attitude of "five Houses, one Spirit." New semester, we are ready!

在创新融合部（I-EP），我们还有代表传统文化又兼具国际特色的五社（House），这些不仅仅是创新融合部（I-EP）的身份符号，也是打破年级壁垒，实现长幼相携的校园文化载体。在开学典礼上，五个社的社长代表分别上台发言，鼓舞士气，生动诠释了“五个House，一个Spirit”的态度。新学期，我们已经准备好了！

The new students of this semester came on stage one by one to receive their house certificates. Welcome to all the new students, and we hope that in the coming days, you will be able to leave a unique and sparkling memory with I-EP in this warm and loving campus.
