Students in Grade 10 Drama at ISA Science City recently took a cultural excursion to Shamian Island to explore the areas rich history. Traditionally a merging point of the Eastern and Western world, the region is rich in cultural history, colonial architecture and statues depicting transitions in local lives. The students will use their research in the devising and presenting of an original theatre piece.
近日，爱莎科学城学校10年级戏剧课的学生，参加了一次前往沙面岛的文化之旅，探索其中蕴藏着的丰富历史底蕴。沙面，历来是东西方世界的交汇点，拥有丰厚的文化历史、西方殖民建筑以及描绘当地生活变迁的雕像。参观过程也是学习的过程，学生们将利用他们此次旅行的研究成果设计并表演一部原创戏剧作品。

“I see that Shamian is a kind of combination between western culture and eastern culture and the architecture between them is really different.”
