Curriculum is the soft power of a school. Based on the principle of “self-regulated, collaborative and inquiry study”, Huawai-Tongman Foreign Language School takes an active part in combining national standard curriculum with personalized curriculum, which forms a series of school curriculum with distinctive characteristics of the school.



2023年12月18日,CEP中学在同文楼中庭开展了“课本内外,跨学科课本知识延展”活动。

On December 18, 2023, the “Textbook-based Educational Fair” of CEP Secondary School was held in the atrium of the Tongman Building. 




本次活动分为舞台挑战、中国传统文化、数学思维、世界语言与文化、一带一路下的史地政、物化生科学课实验、心理游戏、体能通关8大子主题,元素丰富,从人文与社会、数理与逻辑、科技与创新,到艺术与审美、体育与健康,活动设计基于课本、超越课本,以多元创新的形式,有趣刺激的活动,激发同学们的学习热情,彰显了学校“启发潜能、培育全人”的办学宗旨。

This event was divided into 8 divs, including Stage challenge, Traditional Chinese culture, Mathematical thinking, Language and culture around the world, History, geography and politics in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative, Scientific experiments of physics, chemistry, and biology, Psychological games, and Physical challenges. The event showed the educational and teaching principle of “inspiring students’ potential and cultivating holistic person” by incorporating various cross-disciplinary elements in designing activities based on the textbooks and going beyond the textbooks.

CEP中学紧跟《新课标》对培养学生学科素养的要求,结合华外“更中国、更世界”的办学特色,高度重视师生对中华优秀传统文化的传承与世界多元文化的深度学习,致力于培养学科基础扎实、外语能力出众、特长突出、敢于创新的时代新人,本次精彩多学科联合活动就是一次以正确价值培育学生内心,以课程活动外化学生于行的生动诠释。

CEP Secondary School is committed to cultivating accomplished, innovative, and multilingual students in the new era, combining the requirement of developing students’ core competencies in New Curriculum Standards with the school feature “Embrace China, Embrace the World”. This event was a vivid elaboration in which students were able to cultivate their inner self and practice in multi-disciplinary activities.

林子捷:“老师们事前做了很多准备。本次活动使我们学习到了许多课本外的拓展知识。老师们多以趣味问答的方式让我们在快乐中学习知识。老师们幽默的导语以及生动的服饰逗得同学们哈哈大笑。希望以后可以持续开展此类活动。” 

Lin Zijie: I can see that teachers prepared a lot before this event and I learned much extended knowledge beyond our textbooks. We were amused by our teachers’ words and beautiful clothes. I hope we can participate more activities like this in the future.


彭扬:“周一下午我们参与了CEP中学课本延伸跨学科活动。在活动中我感受到了跳绳运动的乐趣,还发现了生物这门学科的神奇之处。这个活动让我从课堂延伸到了课外,真正感受到了学习的乐趣。

Peng Yang: We took part in the “Textbook-based Educational Fair” of CEP Secondary School Monday afternoon. During this event, I developed interest in rope skipping and found the magic of Biology. I feel the real pleasure in study from the extension of in-class knowledge.

黄钰浠:“我非常开心。我喜欢每一个活动,每一位老师。我想同学们也和我一样,因为每个展位前都挤满了人,大家都想得到奖励,殊不知从活动中获得的知识才是最大最宝贵的奖励。”

Huang Yuxi: I really enjoyed it. I like all kinds of activities and every teacher who organized the event. I believe that other students felt the same way as I do, because each stall was crowded with people. Everyone wanted to get rewards, but more importantly, they wanted to acquire more knowledge by joining in those activities.

王子瑜:“本次活动以课本内容为基础,不会完全不知道,但又处处能出新。老师应该希望我们通过这次活动,深度学习,将学习融入生活吧。在多项活动中,我印象最深的是语文的毛笔书法活动,它让我感受到了文科的多变和有趣。”

Wang Ziyu: Knowledge we learned in this event is far beyond the textbooks. I assume that teachers wanted us to incorporate learning in our daily life through this event. Among all the activities, the calligraphy activity impressed me most because it made me feel the variety and fun of cultures and arts.

吴乙墨:“周一的教育展各科老师以‘摆摊’的形式,为我们搭建了一次痛快玩耍的平台。这些活动为我们拓展了许多知识。我学到了更多课本中涉及到但是没有详细讲的课外知识,也发现学习真的可以很好玩。最重要的是,这次活动还让我认识到,学习不止于课本,它还可以融入到生活之中。最后通过攒积分,我们换到了很多礼物。我想学校应该是想借此鼓励我们要‘惟德学,惟才艺’,积极进取,认真学习。”

Wu Yimo: The Educational Fair on Monday was held in a way that teachers set up “stalls” for us to have fun. These activities expanded our knowledge. I learned more extracurricular knowledge that was covered in the textbook but not explained in details, and I found that learning could be really fun. Most importantly, this event also made me realize that learning is not only based on textbooks, but also integrated into life. In the end, by accumulating points, we were able to exchange gifts as rewards. I think the school wants to emphasize the importance of holistic development of students.
