This week, ISA Liwan School officially launches the 2024-2025 academic year scholarship program, totaling over twenty million RMB, with full scholarships reaching up to a million!

In line with the philosophy of personalized education, ISA Liwan's scholarship program offers a rich variety of awards tailored to different learning fields. It covers eight categories, aiming to reward students who excel in academics, arts, technology, sports, environmental protection, public service, community engagement, entrepreneurship, and other fields.

Through establishing the scholarship program, we hope to inspire students to explore the world from different perspectives, critically evaluate different viewpoints, embrace diverse cultures with an open and inclusive attitude, break free from conventions, fear no challenges, engage in lifelong learning, and align with the rapidly changing times. This initiative aims to recognize and encourage outstanding students in various disciplines (both foreign and Chinese nationals). It also provides more opportunities for families fitting into the ISA education ecosystem to choose high-quality, diverse, and premium educational services.

The first semester of the new academic year is drawing to a close, and the new students at ISA Liwan have smoothly transitioned, familiarizing themselves with the new environment and teaching methods with the help of their class teachers, mentors, and peers. They have immersed themselves in a busy yet fulfilling learning experience.

Among them, in the 2023-2024 academic year, the recipient of the Inquire/Pioneer Scholarship, Linda, at ISA Liwan, has glimpsed the diverse possibilities for her future life from an international perspective.

How did she discover entirely new areas for personal growth within the personalized tiered education model? And how did she explore the "limits"?

在爱莎荔湾度过的第一个学期中，严同学切身感受到了学校在个性化分层教学中的投入。

学校为她在英语和数学方面提供了进阶方向的授课辅导，“学校给我提供了非常个性化的教学方案”，严同学分享道。同时，严同学也入选了“爱莎菁英计划”，获得由爱莎国际教育集团为提供个性化升学支持项目，包括涵盖了课题研究、顶尖竞赛和科研创新等。

除了日常的学术学习，她也积极地在不同领域担当重要角色：参加音乐类社团，在乐队中担任贝斯手，并且希望下学期能够挑战摇滚乐；参与学生会选举、竞选成为中学部学生会学业赋能与身心健康发展学会会长(Division Officer of Academic Support & Well-being, the student council for the 2023-2024 academic year)，并在校园内参与策划并举办了多场主题活动。

Highly Personalized Teaching

In Linda's first semester at ISA Liwan, she experienced firsthand the school's dedication to personalized tiered teaching.

The school provided advanced tutoring in English and Mathematics, offering "incredibly personalized teaching," as shared by Linda. Meanwhile, Linda was admitted to the ISA Global Pioneers project, which covers research projects, top-tier competitions and technological innovations offered by ISAIEG.

The exceptionally low student-teacher ratio and small class sizes ensure precise attention to individual's growth.

Diversified Enrichment Environment

As an extension of academics, the CCA (Co-Curricular Activities) enrichment courses expanded Linda's exploration of her personal interests.

In her elective French class, the French teacher adhered to the philosophy of "learning language like a native speaker", using rich scenarios to make classes engaging and help students better understand and apply the language.

ISALW boasts its highly diverse faculty and staff, comprising professionals from 30 different countries and a talented group of bilingual individuals who have returned after studying abroad. This diverse environment also provided practical assistance to Linda's ongoing Culture Identity project.

Multidimensional Skill Development

An open mind enabled Linda to seize the array of opportunities offered by the school platform.

Apart from her routine academic studies, she engaged in various activities across different domains: joining a music club, assuming the role of bassist in the band, and aiming to challenge rock music in the coming semester. She participated in student council elections, aspiring to become the Division Officer of Academic Support & Well-being for the 2023-2024 academic year, contributing to planning and organizing numerous themed events on campus.

At ISA Liwan School, there is a strong emphasis on nurturing students' holistic growth and abilities. The school offers a diverse range of co-curricular activities (CCAs) and programmes, providing students with ample opportunities to broaden their horizons beyond core subjects.

Linda expressed that she not only enjoyed the happiness derived from the process itself but also developed her leadership, teamwork, communication, and social skills, gaining invaluable experience and personal growth.

ISA Liwan offers academic scholarships for awarded students. The waiver amounts range from 30% to 100%, varying based on different award categories. These scholarships can support students for up to a maximum of 3 years.

Talent Scholarship

Full Tuition Waiver for 3 Years

Students who receive the ISA Talent Scholarship, upon admission and consistently meeting the criteria for the full scholarship for three consecutive years, will have their tuition waived for three years. The total scholarship amount is 1,212,000 RMB.

b. Achieving scores above the first-tier cutoff line by 30 points or more in the 2024 middle school entrance examination.

When will the programme be available to apply?

ISA scholarships will review annually to provide scholars with regular opportunities for prominence and leadership within their given specialism.

Can scholarships be stacked?

A student can apply for multiple categories of scholarships, but the awarded student can only receive the highest-tier scholarship within those categories.

If I am not a new student, can I apply?

The programme will be for students in different stages, including freshmen, and current students. ISA scholarships cover academic, arts, sports, scientific, environmental protection, public service, business and other fields and provide partial cover of the annual tuition fee.

Step 1 / Submission 申请

Applicant fills in the scholarship application and submits the whole relevant documents before the application deadline

申请者规范填写奖学金申请表，申请截止日期前按学校规定提交相应奖学金申请所需全部材料

Step 2 / Review 审核

The scholarship committee reviews (within 5-10 working days) the application and might request for further documents

The International High School of ISA Liwan offers a wide range of curriculum options for students from grade 9 to 12. Under the framework of IB, the high school encourages and respects the differences of students, and provides the most suitable education programme for each individual.

Built upon the IB framework, students of G9-G10 will study the IGCSE integration programme, enabling improvements in the subject foundation, learning skills and getting to know a wide range of subjects. It is to help students to find out their interests and passions and set up the preparation for G11 and G12.

Grades 11-12 offer different courses such as IBDP, A Level and Art for students to choose from, and AP elective courses for students who have spare time to learn more. Each student can find a suitable curriculum to lead to a world-famous university.
