If the most beautiful aspect of youth is to go all out for a dream, then the moment of achieving a wish and realizing a dream is destined to be the most unforgettable beauty of every youngster.

1月4日，华外同文外国语学校CEP双语部中学在秀丽剧院隆重举行了2022-2023学年博雅奖学金颁奖典礼。CEP中学七八年级师生、九年级获奖学生，CEP小学部六年级师生及家长代表等500多人齐聚秀丽剧院，共同见证华外学子们这一高光时刻，并祝贺同学们收获荣誉，收获成长。

On January 4, CEP Middle School held the award ceremony for the 2022-2023 academic in the theater. More than 500 people, including teachers and students in Grades 7 and 8, winners in Grade 9, teachers and students in Grade 6 and parents from CEP Primary School, gathered in the beautiful theater to witness this highlight of the students and congratulate them on their harvest of honor and growth.

渊博·雅正：谓学识渊博，品行端正。本次获得奖学金的华外学子们有着博学雅正的品性，有着敢为人先的魄力，更有着勇攀高峰的决心。

Profound and elegant: profound knowledge and elegant behavior. The students who won the scholarship this time have the character of erudition and elegance, the courage to lead and the determination to climb the peak.

颁奖典礼上，华外总校长朱子平先生对所有获奖的同学表示祝贺，希望全体同学以他们为榜样，也提到华外“更中国更世界”的办学特色。“更中国”让学生们厚植家国情怀、担当社会责任，把中华优秀的传统文化，深入内心之中，最后转化为人格。“更世界”则是希望同学们掌握通向世界的钥匙，熟练应用外语，了解世界文化，培养正确的价值取向，学会国际理解，以真才实学造福世界，成为真正合格的世界公民！

Mr. Zhu Ziping, President of the school, delivered a speech. He first congratulated all the award-winning students and hoped that all the students could take them as an example. He also mentioned the educational characteristics of FLS, "Embrace China, embrace the world". "Embrace China" allows students to deepen their patriotism, shoulder social responsibilities, and integrate the excellent traditional culture of China into their inner mind and finally into their personality. "Embrace the world" means that students should master the key to the world, be proficient in foreign languages, understand world culture, cultivate correct value orientation, learn international understanding, benefit the world with their talents, and become truly qualified world citizens!

Mr. Ren Huaizhu, Vice President of the school, President of CEP Department, delivered a speech announcing the decision of Honorary Award for Outstanding Primary School Graduates. 

CEP双语部中学副校长严勇先生宣读了本次博雅奖学金评选办法，博雅奖学金是CEP双语部秉持“启发潜能、培育全人”教育目标的重要体现，也是学部年度最高规格的学生荣誉。博雅奖学金的申请面向所有学籍在CEP中学的学生，以公平、公正、公开为基本原则，经过班级、年级、学部三个轮次，多维度考查同学们过去一年的表现，遴选学业优异、特长突出的学生楷模。

After the flag-raising ceremony, Mr. Yan Yong, vice principal of CEP Middle School, read out the selection method of the scholarship. The scholarship is an important embodiment of the educational goal of "inspiring potential and cultivating whole person" of CEP Middle School, and is also the highest annual student honor of the department. The application for the Scholarship is open to all students in CEP Middle School. With the basic principles of fairness, justice and openness, the application is reviewed in three rounds, including class, grade and department, to evaluate students' performance in the past year and select students with outstanding academic performance and special skills.

学生代表发言，“每天的课前三分钟我都会准时坐在座位上，并跟随课代表开始读书；课堂上，我会紧跟着老师的步伐，不走神，不分心，如果遇到较不感兴趣的课程，我会提前喝茶或者掐一掐自己，使自己保持清醒；晚自习完成作业时，我会比较追求质量而非速度，保证学透当天的内容；在假期，我也会尽量抽出时间进行自主预习和复习，从而保证学习习惯。”

"I will sit in my seat three minutes before class every day and follow the class representative to start reading; in class, I will follow the teacher's pace without being distracted. If I encounter a course I am not interested in, I will drink tea or pinch myself to keep myself awake; when I finish my homework in the evening, I will pursue quality rather than speed to ensure that I can learn the content of the day; in holidays, I will also try to find time for independent preview and review to ensure my study habits."

获得博雅铜质奖的王嘉宁家长王雷先生发言，分享了王嘉宁同学在华外的成长历程。他说，“我相信，每个孩子都有每个孩子的特点，我只能说，我用了最适合我女儿的方式，和她一起共同感受进入初中学习生涯的艰难转变，和她一起共同迎接竞争更加激烈的学习压力，和她一起共同享受住校生活的变化和挑战，和她一起共同面对自身的审视和成长！”作为家长，他非常认可华外的办学理念，“卓尔不群、温馨友善”让嘉宁变得自信、自立。也祝福华外越来越好、为国家培育出更多的栋梁之材。

Mr. Wang Lei，parent of Wang Jianing，a Bronze Award winner，shared Wang Jianing's growth process outside China. He said, "I believe that every child has their own characteristics. I can only say that I have used the most suitable way for my daughter to feel the difficult transition into middle school together with her, to meet the more intense competition and pressure together with her, to enjoy the changes and challenges of residential life together with her, and to face the examination and growth of herself together with her!" As a parent, he recognized the educational philosophy of FLS, which is "outstanding, warm and friendly", which makes Jianing confident and self-reliant. He also wished FLS would be better and better, and cultivate more pillars for the country.
