Julie Zheng, the Head of College (Chinese), and Jeroen Gakes, the Head of College (Expat), delivered a speech at the opening ceremony and sent New Year wishes to the guests. 

祥龙腾盛世，金狮迎新春

“咚咚锵，咚咚锵……”

随着鼓、锣、镲奏出欢快之声

大家纷纷移步演艺中心外

只见凛凛的醒狮和长龙威武“出山”

燃醒狮首，闻鼓起舞

腾龙生风，既飒且美

欢腾跳跃的狮子，让游园会平添许多喜庆和热闹

威武气派的长龙，也为新年舞出新面貌、新气象

"Dong Dong Qiang, Dong Dong Qiang..." With the boisterous beats of drums, gongs, and cymbals, everyone made their way outside the performing arts centre. 

The jubilant leaping lions added a vibrant joy to the garden party, while the mightily styled long dragons brought a fresh new atmosphere of hope and expectations to the New Year.

On the bustling campus, vibrant entertainment activities were in full swing. 

"The Dragon's Spy," "Abundance of Fish Every Year," archery, Cuju......

more than 40 captivating games with clever ideas, exquisite designs, vivid scenes, and unparalleled skills are drawing crowds and earning people's applause. 

剪窗花、金鱼灯等各种经典手作DIY

展现了中国古代手工艺品经久不衰的魅力

家长们也被校园的热烈氛围所感染

和孩子一同参与挑战

A range of traditional DIY handicrafts, including Chinese paper cutting and golden fish lamps, demonstrate the enduring allure of ancient Chinese artisanry. 

Parents are also embracing the warm atmosphere on campus and joining their children in the challenges.

也处处可见学生志愿者热情奔赴的身影

往年作为参与者的高中同学们

今年以组织者、支持者的身份

承担起更多的责任，身体力行地行动着

也让这次活动成为书本之外更生动饱满的一课

All the booths were organised jointly by teachers and students. 

Student volunteers can be seen everywhere, on and off the festival scene. 

Secondary school students who participated in previous years now serve as organisers and supporters and assume more responsibilities, making this activity a more vibrant and enriching lesson outside the classroom.

The jumping castle allowed everyone to enjoy an unplugged parent-child time together!

校园餐厅里

品种繁多的中式传统小吃

不但让大家得到温暖慰藉，满足了口腹之欲

而且打开了外国朋友了解中国的另一扇窗口

The campus restaurants offered various traditional Chinese snacks, providing a warm and comforting experience for everyone and opening another window for foreign friends to understand Chinese history and culture.

主歌悠扬，副歌激昂

欢快的旋律与强烈的节奏感

配合钢琴、长笛与马林巴的演奏

为宾客营造出充满欢乐的能量场

The tune from the Hollywood musical "LA LA LAND" filled the air with its melodious verse and rousing chorus. 

The upbeat melody and strong sense of rhythm, coupled with the piano, flute, and Marimba performance, created a joy-filled energy field for the guests.

广州斐特思小学部的同学们在元气满满的歌曲里

（日语さいこう音译，意为太棒了）

The students of FCG primary school gracefully performed powerful butterfly steps to a vibrant song. 

The delightful dance was full of energy, and the dynamic movements prompted the audience to chant "Saiko" (さいこう in Japanese, means Great). 

高中部学生出演的百老汇歌剧《汉密尔顿》

融入大量流行文化元素

展现了不同音乐风格的特点

巧妙的灯光设计和同学们精湛的表演、舞蹈

组成一场精彩的视觉和听觉盛宴

The Broadway opera "Hamilton", performed by secondary school students, incorporated many pop culture elements and showed different musical characteristics. 

The lighting design and students' exquisite performance formed a wonderful visual and auditory feast!

由广州斐特思师生联袂带来的古典舞

经表演者倾情演绎，更是博得全场阵阵掌声

The classical dance, jointly presented by our teachers and students, received numerous applauses from the audience after the heartfelt performance. 

高潮迭起的魔术《火箭穿越》和杂技《步步高升》

也同样牢牢抓住了大小朋友们的目光

The climactic magic "Rocket Through" and the classic acrobatic "Rise Step by Step" also held the audience captive.

此次中西结合却不失传统特色的游园会

亦是多元文化融合的完美呈现

培养更多拥有开放的国际视野和文化自信的下一代

China's custom culture has a long history, full of people's yearning for happiness and pursuit of perfection and beauty. By joining children in exploring the essence of the New Year and understanding folk customs, they can expand their knowledge through cultural activities and gain enlightenment from the rich experience of the New Year customs. This is the wonderful original intention behind holding this activity. 

As a school rooted in China with a vision for the world, we are committed to creating more opportunities for cross-cultural exchanges. This New Year Carnival, which combines Chinese and Western traditions, perfectly demonstrates the integration of diverse cultures. In the future, FCG will adhere to integrating the essence of Chinese and Western education and cultivate more generations with open and inclusive international vision and cultural confidence.
