Congratulations | 华外学子获广州市中学生物科技创新教育项目案例评选一等奖、三等奖

This semester, I-EP Middle School Group formed two student science competition teams through student inquiry courses and clubs. Under the guidance of our science teachers, Ms. Huang and Mr. Duan, the team members joined in the Guangzhou Secondary School Biological Science & Technology Innovation Education Program Selection in 2023. In the competition, their research projects stood out among 158 projects and won the first and third prizes respectively! Congratulations to all students who took part in this contest.


本学期,华外创新融合部(I-EP)初中科学组利用学生探究课和社团课进行选拔,组建了两支学生竞赛队伍。队伍成员们在科学老师黄老师和段老师的带领下,参加了2023年广州市中学生物科技教育创新项目案例评选活动。在比赛中,他们主导的科研课题从158个项目中脱颖而出,并分别斩获了该赛事的一等奖与三等奖!在此,学校向所有参加此次科技创新项目比赛的学生表示最热烈的祝贺!





In this science and innovation program selection, students needed to choose one of the four science themes specified by the event organizers to complete a whole research project. From the project design, the experiment implementation, to the data processing, results analyzing, and presentations showing... every step required students to complete diligently. After being selected for the final round, students also needed to prepare related materials and works for attending the on-site presentation in the Affiliated High School of SCNU.

在本次科创项目中,学生们需要选择赛事主办方指定的四个科学主题中的其中一个完成一次完整的课题研究。从方案设计、实验实施、到制作绘图、结果分析,演讲汇报...每一步都需要学生们认真独立完成。入选终审后,学生们还需要准备好展示材料与相关作品到华南师范大学附属中学参加现场答辩。

This competition lasted for nearly half a year, and our students overcame numerous difficulties. In the end, they got great achievements and won high praise from the judges as well as teachers and students from other schools with their great solid scientific foundation, rigorous experimental attitude, clear logical thinking, as well as fluent communication skills. We are so proud of them.

本次比赛历经大半年之久,我们的学生们克服了重重困难,最终他们以扎实的科学基础、严谨的实验态度、清晰的思维逻辑和流畅的表达能力,赢得了评委老师和其他参赛师生们的高度赞扬,取得了丰硕的成果,我们为他们感到骄傲。

Participating in this competition and winning the first prize has made me extremely excited and proud. The process of completing the project was not easy, and we encountered various difficulties. Fortunately, no one in our group chose to give up, and we were managed to overcome various challenges together. In the end, our research project have received great praise from the judges. This contest allowed me to gain deeper understanding of the application of the biotechnology, and my practical skills and scientific thinking have been comprehensively improved. Next, I will continue to study hard, improve my research abilities, and contribute more to scientific innovation field.

Our team members all worked hard together, cooperated well, and achieved outstanding results in this contest. I played an important role in project design and implementation. William showed a deep understanding of the project, and provided me with great help. Herbert had rich experience in experimental operations, providing strong support for data collection and analysis for the project. Jerry showed outstanding performance in team collaboration and made great contributions to the team. Through this contest, we not only experienced the joy of success but also gained valuable experience. We learned how to better cooperate with others, solve problems more effectively, and present our achievements more effectively.

在本次科创比赛中,我们团队成员团结协作,共同努力,取得了优异的成绩。我在项目设计和实施过程中,发挥了重要的作用。王梓同学对项目理解深刻,思维敏捷,给予了我很大的帮助。曹楚炎同学在实验操作方面经验丰富,为项目的数据收集和分析提供了有力的保障。林子皓同学在团队协作方面表现出色,一直默默地为团队作出贡献。通过这次的比赛,我们不仅收获了成功的喜悦,也收获了宝贵的经验。我们学会了如何更好地与他人合作,如何更好地解决问题,如何更好地展示自己的成果。

This time, I led the students to participate in this science and technology competition and witnessed them starting from scratch, step by step conducting the experiments, and ultimately completing the organization and analysis of experimental data. In the final review, they presented their project results, delivered an excellent speech and defended their work. Witnessing their growth and harvest throughout the whole process, I feel extremely gratified and proud of them.

这次我带领学生参加广州市生物科技教育创新项目案例评选活动,亲眼见证了他们从零开始,一步一个脚印地进行实验,最终完成了实验数据的整理和分析。在终审中,他们还展示了自己的项目成果,进行了精彩的演讲和答辩。看着他们在这个过程中不断成长、不断收获,我感到无比欣慰。




I was surprised by the performance of our students during their participation in this contest. Their vast accumulation of the knowledge and calmness in answering the questions from judeges or audiences were far beyond the level of children of their age. It is difficult to cope with such a situation without adequate preparation. They have made a lot of efforts along the way, and I'm glad to witness and participate in their progress and growth.

在带队参加生物科技教育创新项目案例评选的过程中,学生们的表现是令我惊喜的。他们渊博的知识积累,以及面对主考官和其他家长学生提问时回答的从容和镇定,都远超于这个年龄阶段的孩子。没有足够的准备是难以应对这样的场面的这一路走来,他们付出了很多很多很高兴能见证与参与他们的进步和成长


The impact of science and technology education on young people is far-reaching and positive. By participating in various science and innovation competitionschildren can build their confidence, stimulate inner drive, as well as cultivate the spirit of inquiry and innovation. At the same time, their communication, coordination, and teamwork skills have all improved in the process of group cooperation. Congratulations to all the award-winning students.
