DSE | 英语科校本评核,培养学子深度阅读能力

“爱上阅读,可能就在‘一瞬间’,但阅读给予我们的力量,却是永恒的。”在广州暨大港澳子弟学校(ASJ),我们积极引导孩子养成阅读习惯,发现并把握住激发孩子们阅读兴趣的那个瞬间。


近日,ASJ中学部举行了G10英语学科校本评核阅读书籍分享活动,让孩子自主寻找阅读“心动”的瞬间。





分享活动旨在培养学生英语口语表达及运用能力,通过活动调动学生们对英语学习的热情,鼓励学生们多读多分享各类英语书籍,希望学生们能够在英语阅读分享交流中,激发他们的批判性思维能力,迸发他们对文本解读后的创造性思维,使他们不仅仅学会阅读,更让他们能够在自信地运用各种表达形式去演绎对文本的理解和反思。



在本届书籍分享活动中,G10-G和G10-A班的同学以角色扮演的形式成功赢得了观众们热烈欢快的笑声;G10-Z班深刻剖析了1920年代女性的社会角色,同时,G10-H班以演讲的形式带我们领略了书中的主要角色和主题分享;G10-S班以精彩的辩论形式对书中爱情和择偶观进行分享;G10-J班则以有趣的英语问答小竞赛对全场同学进行了书中知识的洗礼。



通过阅读,我们向他人学习,分享观点,激发对阅读的热爱。在分享活动中,同学们用自己的话传播书中的喜怒哀乐。

学子感言

G10-S:


我们非常荣幸获得英语演讲比赛的银奖。在这次活动中,我们其实在第一次的彩排中无论是PPT还是演讲效果都不是很好,但在老师的指导后,我们分工合作,齐心协力,一次次的改变去提高我们的演讲效果。在第二次的正式彩排时,我们受到了老师的表扬,我们当时都非常开心,很自豪。这次活动中,我们每个人也都非常努力,也如愿地拿到了奖项,让我们觉得努力是值得的。希望下次还能参加类似活动,提高英语水平的同时,也能增强我们的团队合作能力。

G10-G:

我们很荣幸能够登上这个舞台,能有这样一个机会去锻炼与展示自己,并且最终得以拔得头筹。从选角,整理并修改剧本,开始演练到如今一个多月的时间,我们都在临近期末的忙碌学习中尽可能地抽出时间来完善我们的短剧。尽管这只是一出短剧,但所需要熟记的台词与需要传达出的复杂情绪仍然是一项较为艰巨的挑战。天气寒凉导致的主角生病更是令我们不得不紧急联系替补并与他磨合。


所幸,最终还算完美地谢幕,我们的努力没有付之一炬。我们之后的节目亦然精彩无比,但我们几乎全然无暇顾及,直到颁奖仪式的开始,随着季军,亚军的上台,我们都屏住了呼吸-直到主持人宣布了冠军就是我们的那一刻,我们终于得以振臂欢呼。这也意味着,我们的能力与汗水得到了所有人的认可。这是我们所有人应得的胜利与荣誉!再次感谢大家!

我们正身处一个多样的时代。眼前的世界,需要孩子们比过去更需要通过阅读,去坚定文化自信,明辨是非、通达事理。ASJ致力于培养孩子自觉阅读的习惯,让阅读成为学子获取进步的必备途径之一。


At ASJ, we actively guide our children to develop their reading habits and to discover and capture the moments that spark their interest in reading. Recently, the Secondary Section of ASJ held a book sharing activity for the G10 English subject school-based assessment, allowing children to independently search for the "heartwarming" moments of reading.





School-based Assessment G10 English Reading Sharing Project aims to cultivate students’ oral English delivery and application skills. Throughout this reading-sharing project, we are hoping to arouse students’ enthusiasm for English learning, encouraging students to read and share diverse English books, and deriving nutrition from books. 



Meanwhile, we hope to stimulate students’ critical thinking skills and creative thinking ability after text interpretation in English reading and sharing so that they can not only learn to read but also adopt various performance forms to interpret and reflect on the text confidently on the stage. 



For instance, during this reading-sharing project, students from G10-G and G10-A successfully won the audience’s laughter in the form of role-play; the G10-Z class dissected the interpretation of women’s role in the 1920s. Furthermore, the G10-H class conducted a presentation to take us through the main characters and themes in the book; the G10-S class shared the book’s view on love selection by using the form of a wonderful debate; while the G10-J class created an interesting quiz to engage all the audience to review the key elements from the book to end the show! 


Students Sharing

G10-A:

Throughout this book-sharing project, I have got a better understanding of how we can analyze the books that we have read. In this event, our group chose to do a role play to demonstrate our knowledge and impression of the book ‘The Great Gatsby’. To make our role-play more complete or perhaps magnificent, we dug into the plot of the book and made careful decisions after having conversations with our group members.


Our group has conducted several rehearsals before the actual performance and we have moved forward step by step as a team. In the swimming up areas we performed well and in the places we still have to improve. On the day of the performance, overall, we did a good job of expressing our thoughts and ideas about the book. Even though our performance is not quite perfect, we all have a good time. 



The School-based Assessment G10 English Reading Sharing Project has come to a successful end, but we all sincerely hope that students will never stop moving forward in various English reading activities in the future!
