在前段时间的美国AMC8与AMC12数学竞赛中，爱莎荔湾学子在比赛中大放异彩，获得优异成绩，热烈祝贺获奖学生！

美国数学测评 (AMC) 由美国数学协会举办 (MAA)，起源于1950年，目前每年全球超过6000所学校的30万名同学参与，是全球极具影响力的青少年数学测评之一。美国数学测评系列活动包括AMC8、AMC10/12、AIME等，旨在激发学生的数学兴趣，提高他们的数学能力，同时促进全球青少年数学教育领域的交流与合作。

AMC8主要面向8年级（初二）以下的初中和小学高年级学生；AMC10/12主要面向10年级（高一）和12年级（高三）以下的学生；因为设计严谨、简难兼具，AMC不但在测试中使任何程度学生都能感受到挑战，能充分而客观的考察出学生的数学能力，还以试题的高鉴别度，从中筛选出特有天赋者进入国际数学奥林匹克活动美国国家队。

The American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) are sponsored by the Mathematics Association of America (MAA) since 1950. Today, the competition has become the most influential youth math competition with over 300,000 students participating annually in over 6,000 schools from 30 countries and regions. The AMC series of mathematics competitions is a global mathematics competition with several levels, including AMC8, AMC10/12, etc. It aims to stimulate students' interest in mathematics and improve their mathematical abilities, as well as to promote global exchange and cooperation in the field of mathematics education for teenager.

AMC 8 held for grade 8 or below, AMC 10/12 held for students at/below grade 10/12. AIME held for high scoring AMC 10/12 participants for promotion, and USAMO/USAJMO is for excellent AMC 10/12 participants from AIME and AMC 10/12.
