Strategic Partnership with Guangzhou Foreign Language School

Under the guidance of the Guangzhou Education Bureau, Guangzhou Foreign Language School and ISA International Education Group signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement in 2021. This partnership entails extensive collaboration in curriculum, faculty, educational research, and management, fostering mutual learning and innovation. Leveraging their strengths, they aim to pioneer international understanding education in the Greater Bay Area.

Three exceptional teams of teachers

The school has always been adhering to ISA's strict selection policy for teachers in China. Through systematic processes such as background screening, multiple interviews, trial lectures, evaluation and teamwork, the school has built an excellent team of teachers with Chinese and Western integration and both moral integrity and ability.

Our school boasts its highly diverse faculty and staff, comprising professionals from 30 different countries and a talented group of bilingual individuals who have returned after studying abroad. The team also includes renowned local teachers from Guangzhou Foreign Language School and distinguished educators from Hubei and various regions of the country. The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a curriculum framework available around the world for students from 3-19 years of age. The IB Programmes encourage students to be independent thinkers and lifelong learners. Creativity is fostered in all areas of the curriculum, including academic, sporting and artistic disciplines.

UK Standard 英式课程标准

The UK National Curriculum of England and Wales, released most recently in 2014, is a set of subjects and standards used by British primary and secondary schools keeping consistency in content, subject specific skills and standards reached. It covers what subjects are taught and the standards children should reach in each subject.

ISA Liwan International Early Years provides students with an immersive English learning environment. All lessons are taught in English except 4-8 high quality Chinese/mother tongue courses per week. Chinese is a compulsory course for Early Years students. The school attaches great importance to letting children from all over the world know about Chinese culture and hopes that the students can understand the essence of Chinese culture.

In terms of language learning, the school will provide individualized instruction according to the level of the students. By the end of the Early Years Reading Programme, each student will be a confident and independent reader and writer of both English and Chinese. Meanwhile, we value the first language of all students (Such as Cantonese learning in CCA). Every child will develop“ bilingual” talent , because of our pure "immersive" learning environment in ISA Liwan International Early Years.

In terms of language learning, the school will provide individualized instruction according to the level of the students. For example, from the age of four, students can read in different levels according to their reading abilities, and students with different reading abilities can read across different levels.

ISA Liwan strictly selects first-class teachers from all over the world. Through systematic processes such as background screening, multiple interviews, trial lectures, evaluation and teamwork, the school has built an excellent team of teachers with Chinese and Western integration and both moral integrity and ability.

In ISA Liwan International Early Years, except the Chinese teacher and Associate teachers, the other teachers are all foreign teachers. The Homeroom teachers come from all over the world, including the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. All teachers have internationally recognised degree qualifications, professional work experience and an international mindset.

· Over 20 years of experience in international education, with a focus on teaching and management in early childhood development.

· Has worked in schools across the UK, Asia, the Middle East, and most recently in China, gaining extensive experience in cross-cultural teaching and management; served as Deputy Head of Primary and Early Years at the British School of Guangzhou.

· Her expertise in early years and primary education has been recognized both within her school community and cross the international education landscape. She is a regular presenter at workshops, sharing her insights and best practices with parents and fellow educators.

· 拥有超过20年的国际教育经验，专注于幼儿发展方面的教学和管理工作。

· 曾在英国、亚洲、中东及最近在中国的学校工作，积累了丰富的跨文化教学与管理实践经验；曾担任广州英国外籍人员子女学校小学及幼儿园的副校长。
