广州当前的疫情迫使我们开始线上教学，我们知道这会给您和您的孩子带来很多问题和担忧。幸运的是，这一次我们做好了更充分的准备来面对这种情况，因为我们有经验，也早已制定了计划来有效地支持学生们的远程学习。

在这个特殊的时期，我们期待把学校、家庭、学生三个方面力量有机组合起来，积极构建“三位一体” 的紧密教育协作关系，共同促进有利于学生健康成长的良好基础环境。线上教学期间，您在孩子的日常教育中将发挥更积极的作用，学生将需要更自律地完成所有任务及教学进度，学校也将更加紧密地与您和您的孩子进行交流。我们相信，学校、家庭、学生三方能够很好地合作，并持续为您的孩子提供最好的学习体验。

目前，我们计划先进行为期一周的在线教育。同时，我们也在准备更为详尽的计划，以响应政府为了疫情防控的要求，延长在线教学的可能性。我们的教师和管理团队一直在未雨绸缪地努力做好转线上教学的准备工作。我们的主要目标是确保学习的连续性，为学生提供高质量的课程。让学生们都能最大限度地积极参与到每个学科的教学活动中来。

The current epidemic situation in Guangzhou has forced us to once again implement online learning, which we know can bring many questions and concerns to you and your children. Fortunately, this time we are better prepared to face this situation, as we have experience and plans in place to effectively support student learning remotely.

Implementing an online education requires a partnership between the family, the school, and the student. You will have a more active role in your child's day to day education. Your student will take on more personal responsibility for their work, and we will need to communicate more with you and your student. We are certain that we will be able to work well together to continue delivering the best possible learning experience to your children.

Currently, we are planning for 1 week of online education, but we are also preparing for the possibility of extending our online learning if the government requires us to do so. Our teachers and administration team have been working diligently to prepare for this switch to online teaching and learning, and they have spent hours attending online virtual training sessions and meetings. Our primary goal is to ensure the continuity of learning, providing students with high quality lessons and engaging activities in every subject.

学生和老师们将按照正常的课表，通过视频会议进行线上授课，老师们将正常使用PPT、视频等学习资源。关于线上教学，我们对教师们提出了明确的要求，除了讲解课程内容以外，还需要准备一定的探究互动活动，最大限度地保持学生的积极性，并在教师的在线监督下完成一定的学科作业。

所有视频课程将被自动录制，学生可以随时在课后回看课程记录，回顾讲课内容，以确保所有的知识点都能被吸收。考勤也会自动记录，遇到学生缺课、不准时等问题，老师会及时与家长沟通。所有线上的课程时间和进度与线下课的节奏保持一致。

Students and teachers will follow the regular class schedule, and lessons will be delivered live through video conferencing, in which teachers will use PPTs, videos and other learning resources normally. Teachers will make sure to use engaging activities to keep students motivated, and to assign tasks for students to work on and complete at home under the teacher’s online supervision. 

All video lessons will be automatically recorded, and students will be able to access them at a later time if they need to replay teacher explanations. Attendance will also be automatically recorded, and teachers will communicate with parents in a timely manner if we experience any issues with students missing classes or not attending on time. The classes are designed to allow teachers to continue covering content normally, and at regular pace.

学校将使用包括Microsoft Teams, Managebac以及家庭微信群等，不同的平台实施在线学习，为学生、家庭和教师提供支持。

学校准备根据需要为学生、教师和家长提供技术支持。家长们如果需要任何技术帮助，请通过家庭微信群告知我们。

Different digital platforms will be used by the school to implement online learning and provide support to students, families and teachers, including Microsoft Teams, Managebac and WeCom.

The procedures outlined in this document serve as a guide, however it must be noted that they be updated and amended, as and if required at any time. Thanks for your support and understanding all the time.

面对突如其来的疫情，很多学生难免有学习压力和紧张、焦虑等不良情绪。为此，人文心智关怀办公室将与教师合作，为学生们计划和提供不同的活动，引导学生释放压力。我们的目标不仅是提供高质量的课程，还提供有意义的社交互动机会。让他们即使在家，也能相聚在一起增强交流，打造真正意义上的有温度的教育环境。

In order to provide students with the emotional support they need and create opportunities for them to share their online learning experience, tutors will schedule individual meetings with students to check on them. House Parents have also created chat groups with their students to keep good communication and support, while also fostering community building and a sense of belonging.

In addition, the Pastoral Care office will be working together with teachers to plan and offer different activities for students to come together as a community, have fun and relax. We aim to provide not only high-quality lessons, but also opportunities for meaningful social interactions.

为了确保学生在网上学习期间不会过于久坐，我们的体育老师会在体育课上为学生准备不同的体育活动和练习。同时，我们也会推荐一些适合在家完成的活动，以促进学生的身体健康。

In order to ensure students don’t become too sedentary during the period of Online Learning, our PE teacher will prepare different physical activities and exercises for students to do during their scheduled PE classes. We will also prepare other recommended activities for students to do while at home, in order to promote physical wellness and fitness.

The school administration has set clear standards and high expectations for all teachers and online lessons, which will be monitored regularly. Members of the leadership team will attend different classes every day to provide feedback and support to our teachers, helping them ensure the quality of content and teaching practices. In addition, tutors and house parents will gather feedback from students, so that they can also have a voice and let us know when there is something that needs to be improved or modified.

在线学习的实施过程中，我们需要家长的支持，强化学校对学生的期望，激励他们早起，按时参加在线课程，做好学习准备。任何需要的额外支持将由导师或寄宿家长通过家庭微信群与大家沟通。激发学生认真学习的动力是非常重要的，并且希望您为他们创造一个安静的，网络优良的学习环境。

During the implementation of Online Learning, we will need the support from parents reinforcing the school expectations for students and motivating them to wake up early and attend the online classes on time and ready to learn. Any additional support needed will be communicated with individual parents by the tutor or House Parents through the WeCom family groups. It is very important that students are motivated to learn seriously, and that they have access to a quiet space conductive for learning with good access to internet.
