With joy and hope, on September 5, 2023, all the teachers and students of IHP gathered at the Show Theater to participate in the opening ceremony of the new school year with the theme of "Sweet Pledge". Everyone was full of energy and confidence to welcome the new semester.

时光恰好，阳光明媚，带着欣喜，怀揣希望，2023年9月5日，IHP国际高中全体师生齐聚于秀丽剧院，共同参与了以“甜蜜誓约”为主题的新学年IHP开学典礼。大家精神饱满，满怀信心，以最佳的状态迎接新学期的到来。

Mr. Zhu Ziping, Principal of Huawai, Ms. Huang Yan, Vice-Principal of Huawai and principal of IHP, Mr. Guo Shijie, Assistant Principal and head of IHP, delivered speeches and sent their blessings to the students for the new semester.

In their speeches, all 3 principals mentioned the importance of learning. As students, learning is our primary purpose. Only through learning, we are able to continue to grow and make progress, and have the ability to face the future to achieve personal values. Therefore, in the new school year, all students should be more disciplined, more pure and more passionate, to strive to become a lifelong learner. I believe that with everyone's efforts, IHP will become better and better, and so will each of us.

华外总校长朱子平先生、华外总校副校长兼创新融合部校长黄彦女士、创新融合部校长助理兼IHP负责人郭仕杰先生先后发表演讲，为同学们送上新学期祝福与寄语。

一寸光阴一寸金，劝君惜取少年时，在致辞中，三位校长均不约而同提到了学习的重要性。作为学生，学习是我们的首要目的，只有通过学习，我们才能不断地成长与进步，才能跟得上时代的步伐，拥有面向未来的能力，实现个人的价值。因此，在新学年里，同学们都要做到更加自律、更加纯粹、更加激情，为成为一个终身学习者而不断奋斗。相信在大家的努力下，IHP将变得越来越好，我们每一个人也会变得越来越好。

Mr. Evans, IHP's vice-head of Academics, and Ms. Tongtong Zhang, IHP's vice-head of Student Development, came on stage and emphasized this semester's academic requirements, course schedules, and student rules again. We could feel their great care and expectation in their advice.

Meanwhile, for the new students, Scarlett, the president of IHP Student Union, also came on stage to give her blessing, saying that the Student Union will provide full support for the new students to help them. She hoped that all of us could grow up together, struggle together, and pursue our dreams together.

随后，IHP学术副主任Mr. Evans与IHP学生成长处副主任张彤彤老师走上舞台，再次强调了本学期的学术要求、课程安排、学生守则等等内容。在两位老师的叮嘱中，我们能够感受到他们的备至关怀与殷殷期盼。

与此同时，对于各位新同学的到来，IHP学生会主席Scarlett同学上台发表祝福，她表示，学生会将会为新同学提供全力的支持,帮助大家顺利融入IHP。未来，希望大家都能一同成长、一同奋斗、一同追逐我们的梦想。

The IHP opening ceremony was made more exciting by the wonderful and energetic drum performance and the elegant Kendo performance. Our students not only expressed their youthful passion and showed their talents, but also conveyed their hopes and expectations for the new semester.

活力的架子鼓表演、优雅的剑道表演，为开学典礼增光添彩。学生们的表演不仅向大家表达了他们青春激情、展现了他们的多彩才艺，更传递了他们对新学期的憧憬和期待。

In the last semester, IHP students achieved great progress, and a large number of outstanding individuals emerged. Meanwhile, in the new semester's teaching activities, IHP new students were strict in their discipline, hardworking in their studies, persevering and courageous in different challenges, and demonstrated an outstanding attitude toward their studies. Therefore, We honored them during the opening ceremony to encourage them.

树立榜样、见贤思齐，在上一学期，IHP学子实现了个人综合素质的的跨越与蜕变，涌现出一大批优秀的个人。同时，在新学期的新生教学活动中，IHP新生们严于律己、刻苦学习、坚韧不拔，勇于挑战，展现出了卓越的学习态度。在本次开学典礼上，我们对每一个耀眼的你进行了表彰。

After entering high school, it is the wish of every high school student to enter their ideal college. In the new school year, all IHP students made an oath across time and space with our dream university. Leave your hand prints before your footprints arrive. The road ahead is long, but we will get there. Where there is a will, there is a way.

进入了高中，升入理想大学是每个高中学子的愿望。在新的学年里，IHP全体学子们与自己梦想的大学以印手印的方式，进行了一场跨越时空的击掌盟誓。在足印到达之前，留下我们的手印，将我们奋斗着的七色青春印在理想的彼岸。
