从小学二年级就来到青苗的Selina，曾在满分120分托福考试中一举拿下过117分的好成绩。这个看似内向、腼腆的小姑娘，缘何拥有如此惊人能量？不妨听听Selina自己怎么说！

恭喜你Selina，拿到如此优秀的offer！能跟我们分享一下你的大学申请经历吗？

答：谢谢老师！说起来还挺有意思的，其实在过去三年里，香港一直是我的本科学校首选地。然而，随着香港的抗议活动越来越频繁，它直接影响了大学的学术进步，并潜在地影响了香港的经济地位。对于一个想要学习商业的学生来说，我不再确定去香港读书是否仍然是个好主意。在与学校升学指导老师认真讨论之后，我决定扩大自己的申请目的地。所以，才有了今天伦敦政治经济学院的录取结果，也算是意外之喜吧，所以特别感谢学校升学指导老师对我的指导和帮助！

为什么坚定地学习商业？能说说你的梦想是什么吗？对未来的学业有什么具体的规划吗？

答：我的理想是成为一家跨国公司的管理顾问。在IB DP阶段，我选修的三门高级课程（HL）分别是商业管理、经济学和数学，通过对这些课程的学习，我了解了很多关于经济和商业管理领域的知识，这同时也坚定了我想成为一名优秀的管理顾问的信念。为了实现这个梦想，我计划在拿到学士学位后，继续在美国学习MBA课程，我给自己定的下一个目标是宾夕法尼亚大学沃顿商学院！

能不能根据自己的申请经验，为学弟学妹们提供一些升学建议？

答：我认为国际文凭（IB）课程在申请大学时非常有用。与其它课程不同，它将智力学习与课外活动结合起来，更重视培养学生的独立研究和综合学习的能力，这也是诸多大学比较看重的一点。我希望青苗的学弟学妹们能充分利用咱们学校是PYP、MYP、DP全认证的IB环境，从小养成批判性思考、探究式学习的习惯和能力。

另外，作为一个过来人，还想提醒大家，如果你是一个IB学生，凡事千万不要拖延，拖延只会让你的12年级变得更加困难！对我来说，英语和文学是最难的科目，因为当初偷懒没有读完的那些书，让我后来在有限的时间里，花了大量时间来准备不同的文章和个人口头评论。所以千万不要选择拖延和逃避这条路，尽管这将意味着你每天都需要辛苦完成大量工作，但请相信我，这终将会让你觉得一切辛苦都值得！

即将离开自己的学校了，有什么想对学校的老师和同学说的话吗？

答：从小学二年级直至今天，我在青苗度过了10年的生活，真的非常感谢青苗大家庭里曾给过我“爱、关心和支持”的每个人。面对我熟悉的每一位老师和朋友，一想到即将说再见，就忍不住非常难过。但我明白，还是要带着青苗曾给予的勇气和力量，继续前行、继续努力成为更好的自己。我将继续为我的大学做贡献，就像我在青苗社区所学到的那样，用“爱、关心和支持”，继续在这个世界发光发热……

Congratulations to BIBS G12 student Selina for receiving the offer from The London School of Economics and Political Science! The Social Science and Management major Selina applied for has been #2 of QS World University Ranking from 2013 through 2019, right after Harvard.

LSE’s Social Science and Management major has been #2 of QS World University Ranking from 2013 through 2019, right after Harvard, extremely reputable in the social science, finance and business fields. By the end of 2016, there were 18 Nobel Prize winners, 34 government leaders, 31 Members of the House of Commons and 42 Members of the House of Lords.

Selina began her BIBS time from G2. She used to score 117 points in a 120-points TOFEL test. Today let’s hear the story of her success.

Congratulations Selina for this offer! Can you please share with us your application process?

A: Thank you! Actually, in the last 3 years HK was always my first choice. But the ongoing chaos has directly impacted its academic atmosphere and economic environment. For a student who wants to learn business, giving up HK seemed to be a smart thing to do. After discussing with my guidance counselling teacher, I decided to expand my application map. Hence the LSE offer, which was a nice surprise to me too. I really want to thank my guidance counselling teacher for all the guidance and support!

Why business? Can you tell us about your dream and academic plan?

A: My dream is to become a management consultant at a multinational company. To achieve this gold, I optioned 3 HL courses at IB DP – Business Management, Economics and Mathematics, which helped me to acquire knowledge in this field and strengthen my faith to become a good management consultant. I plan to complete my bachelor’s degree and read MBA in the US, and my target is Wharton Business School of Pennsylvania University!

Any advice for future BIBS graduates?

A: I found IB program very useful when applying for universities. Unlike any other program, it combines intellectual learning with extracurricular activities that really help students to succeed in not only getting offers from universities but also to prepare them with independent inquiry and comprehensive studying abilities. I hope future BIBS graduates make good use of the fact that BIBS is a PYP, MYP and DP fully accredited IB school, and develop their critical thinking and inquiry-based studying habit and skills.

Also I would like to remind to stop procrastinating. It will just make your life more difficult as an G12 IB student. For me I found English Language and Literature difficult. As a person who doesn’t particularly enjoy reading, it was very hard for me to analyze different books and finish oral commentaries. So don’t procrastinate. All hard works are worth it.

Anything you want to say to your teachers and classmates?

A: Having spent nearly 10 years of my life in BIBS, I want to thank every one in the community who has showed me Love, Care and Support. Saying goodbye is always sad, but I’m fully empowered with courage and strength to start my university life. Wherever I go, I will pass on the energy of Love, Care and Support.
