Who We Are?

我们是来自华顿幼儿部的IB探究者们,来看看我们在太仓市天镜湖和规划馆的探究足迹......

We are IB Learners from Taicang Walton Foreign Language School.  This is our exploration journey at Tianjing Lake and the Planning Exhibition Hall in Taicang.


Part 1

今天我们的行程满满,全程都要管理好自己的小书包、小水壶,我们是坚持原则的人!


Today we have a full schedule. We have to carry our backpacks and water bottles all the way. We are principled!

沙滩上的探究 Inquires on the beach

在玩沙子之前,有的孩子说:我们今天要来看一看沙子长什么样,摸一摸沙子,闻一闻沙子,听一听沙子,尝一尝沙子。没错,我们要用五感来感受沙子!(不过我们暂时就不尝沙子了)我们相互合作堆小山!

Before playing with the sand, some children said that we will use our sense of touch to feel the sand! We cooperated with each other to build hills.

Planning Exhibition Hall of Taicang

太仓市规划馆

K1的小朋友们前往规划馆参观,Kimmy说我们是住在太仓的。我们发现太仓以前的房子和现在的房子是不一样的。原来地底下还可以有商场、医院、停车库……

Children from K1 visited the Planning Exhibition Hall. Kimmy said that we lived in Taicang. We found that Taicang's former design is different from its present one.  There are shopping malls, hospitals, parking areas under the ground. 


K2的孩子们在运用五感来观察所看到的一切,小小探究者们通过看、听、摸、闻、尝,来探索、记录这一切!

We still use the five senses to observe everything we experience, and these IB inquirers record it through watching,hearing, touching, smelling and tasting.

我们是拥有不同能力的k3的哥哥姐姐,我们也是生活在太仓的小公民。我们来到太仓规划馆,了解我们生活城市的发展变化和民防教育。

We are brothers and sisters of K3 with different

abilities and we are young citizens of Taicang. We went to the Taicang Planning Exhibition Hall to inquire into the development and future changes of our city and civil defence.

草坪野餐 A picnic on the lawn

除了参观规划馆,我们还来到草坪野餐,在这过程中,我们进行了冷餐会。In addition to visiting the planning exhibition hall, we also went for a picnic on the lawn where we shared delicious cold food.

Part 5

On the way back返程

回程的路上,孩子们不停地问:“老师我可以带爸爸妈妈也来这吗?”“老师有人掉在水里是打给消防员吗?”“12345是什么号码?热线是什么?”“轰炸机来了,要多长时间躲起来?”我们能够关注自身的成长与安全,掌握自救的能力。



On the way back, the children kept asking, "Teacher, can I show Mom and Dad here?" "If anyone fell into the water,would we need to call  the firemen?" "What is the function of 12345? What is the hot-line phone number? " "If a bomb came, how long would we need to hide away?” They are aware of their own growth and safety. They are able to help themselves and others.


户外教学的意义:

The meaning of our field trip:

构建学习社区,为我们的小探究者们提供实现IB学习者培养目标的更丰富、真实的探究资源和机会,发展我们的学习方法。

To build learning community, provide more abundant and real inquiry resources and opportunities for our inquirers to realize the IB learner profiles, and develop approaches to learning.
