从意大利游学归来已经两周，领略了异乡风物人情，异国的色彩还在眼前，异国的声音依然清脆，同学们的回味久久在心。我们选择一些文章，让我们读到孩子们眼中的意大利。（编者按）
Editor’s notes: It’s two weeks since those exchange students returned from their study tour in Italy.However, they are still haunted by fresh memories of exotic people,customs, colors and voices. The following are excerpts from articles which can present to us the Italy in their eyes.

街上有人卖画，这是一座名不虚传的艺术之都。
Paintings were sold on the streets, making them live up to the name ---- cities of arts.
艺术博物馆里，四处雕像矗立。最美的是那幅半裸体的少女。光滑的大理石绸子遮住她的身躯，眼睛含情脉脉，看起来甚是娇羞。
Here and there in the art museum stood statues, among which the most beautiful one was that of a half-naked girl. Her body was covered with a piece of smooth and marble-like silk, and her shy eyes were glittering with love and tenderness.
圣母常常出现在画作中，在构图中很突出。圣玛利亚身上好似发着圣光，异于凡人。
同样异于凡人的是那钉在十字架上的耶稣。他神情安详，即使死去，仍然神圣如斯。
走出艺术馆，雕像也随处可见，这大概就是意大利独特的魅力了。
The Goddess often appeared prominent in the composition of paintings. Maria, the goddess, looked as if she were shedding holy light, making her different from all mortals.
Jesus Christ, who was crucified, also differed from all mortals. He looked serene and sacred even if he is dead.
Walking out of the museum, we still could see statues everywhere on the streets, which is probably the unique charm of Italy.
街上鸽子很多。每一只都肥肥的，走起路来脑袋一伸一缩，非常可爱。我投喂它们时，佛罗伦萨的城管阻止了我。
11月24日，我们在古城。老师们不厌其烦地介绍着中世纪建筑，渐渐的，学生们的眼神跑了——一只花猫全程跟着我们，意大利女孩儿们吹着口哨儿逗它。猫喜欢我，我一抱住它，它便赖在我的大腿上不愿离开了。
之前听说意大利人喜欢猫，没想到意大利猫更喜欢我，我却没有准备礼物给它们。
The streets were full of pigeons, all of which were fat and looked very cute when walking with their heads stretching out and drawing back. One of the city inspectors of Florence stopped me from feeding them.
On Nov. 24th, while we were at the ancient city, the teachers were patiently introducing the medieval architecture to us. Slowly, we were distracted by a cat with spotted fur, which had been following us all the way. Those Italian girls tried to tease it by making whistles. That cat seemed to like me, for the moment I held it, it clung to my lap and refused to leave.
意大利人信奉天主教，所以教堂建筑十分常见。印象最深刻的一座教堂，据说里面保存着耶稣的十字架残片。我到那个神圣的盒子前拜了一拜，思考着宗教的意义，许愿世界永远这样安定和平。
The Italians are Catholics, so church buildings are commonly seen in Italy. One of the most impressive churches is said to have kept the remains of Jesus' Cross. I stepped to the front of the sacred box to pay my respect, thinking about the meaning of religion and wishing that the world would always be so peaceful
偶然看到一个由金子铸成的男人，安静地躺在透明棺材里。他戴着红色皇冠，身着红色的衣服。我静静地凝视他，他的喉结仿佛动了起来，像是在睡眠中缓慢地呼吸着。他仿佛有一种魔力，一种宁静的魔力。
教堂的天花板有的是尖顶的，有的是圆的。圆的天花板上常有美丽的画，与墙上的五彩玻璃相应和。
不论是在许愿池丢硬币还是在教堂点蜡烛，我暗暗思忖着，心中的白马王子会不会和我情投意合，依然不清楚。
I happened to see a man made of gold lying quietly in a transparent coffin. He wore a red crown and red clothes. As I gazed at him quietly, he looked as if he were slowly breathing in sleep with his Adam’s apple moving. It seemed as if he possessed a quiet magic.
Some of churches had steepled ceilings, and others had domed ones. Domed ceilings were often beautifully painted, matching the multicoloured glass on the walls.
Whether when tossing coins in the fountain or when lighting candles in the church, I was wondering if my “Prince Charming” and I would find each other congenial.
Tommy告诉我，他住家从当天早上醒来一直在哭。我戴着住家母亲送的围巾，来到了这不再陌生的学校。依旧是站在那个阳台上，一些意大利学生和一些中国学生在聊天。突然，Chris校长走过来，朝我问候几句，我不记得他说了什么，但我眼泪掉下来了。我拭去眼泪。一个意大利女孩给了我一袋巧克力，然后我们俩拥抱在一起，我看她眼里，竟也含着泪水。

Tommy told me that the girl of his host family had been crying since she woke up that morning. Wearing a scarf as a gift from the mother of my host family, I came to this school, which was no longer strange for me. Still standing on the balcony, I saw a few Italian students chatting with some of our Chinese students. All of a sudden, Principal Chris came over and greeted me with a few words. I couldn’t recall what he had said, but I realized that tears rolled over my cheeks. After I wiped off my tears, an Italian girl gave me a bag of chocolates and we hugged each other, and I saw her eyes filled with tears, too.
