Have you ever experienced a big disaster inyour life? Nowadays, people over the world are facing a war without smoke——Coronavirus. Coronavirusfirst appeared in Wuhan, Hubei province, China. When scientists found that thecoronavirus could spread quickly, they realized that if we could not control itimmediately, the country would suffer. So they reminded people to wear maskswhen they go out. I am surprised that everyone in China had the awareness ofcrisis and masks were sold out overnight!

 

Symptoms of the novel coronavirus is thatyou will feel very weak and cough violently. Now there are already over eightythousand people who have been infected by the virus. In order not to beinfected, ordinary people like us can just stay at home and try not to go out.However, there was an academician named Nanshan Zhong who led the doctors fromall over the country to fight against the outbreak in Wuhan, we called them “theWhite Angels”. They are worthy of the name, because when we leave far away fromWuhan, they still stand in the top line day after day. Some of the doctors evendied in the hospital because they were too tired……One thing that moved me isthat two temporary hospitals were actually established in seven days! How fast!But where did the money come from to build the hospital? There were many peoplewho loved and believed our country very much, they all donated much money tothe government to help our country treat patients. Because we all know, wetruly love our country no matter when and what . The other thing that I am verytouched is that I found that the society are very united when we are faced withthe coronavirus, we all stand together to fight against the outbreak. Lots ofpeople also post something positive on the Internet like “Wuhan ,we will alwaysstand with you!”. These comments really give us a lot of motivation andconfidence in our country. There were also many overseas students who cared somuch about the situation in China and some of them (like my brother)sent ussome medical masks…These actions are truly heart-warming. Because of our unity,the numbers of people infected by the virus is decreasing quickly now.

Unfortunately, the virus spreadquickly around the world. To my surprise, some governments didn’t treat thesepatients for free! Even now the virus is everywhere, they still didn’t want towear the masks. They thought that only patients need to wear them, and they arehealthy enough to live as usual. Some people say that China's socialist systemdoes not give its people freedom, but does it seem so now? Imagine that ifthere is no order in China, the society can be very chaotic, no one would takecare of those patients, people can’t even feel the warmth of human nature!What a horrible thing it would be!

Of course, it is not just in thefight against the epidemic that China has shown its wisdom. China is also acountry with an ancient civilization.It has the history of more than five thousand years. During the Zhoudynasty, there was a scholar called Confucius. His way of teaching was totravel around the world, he taught his students to be honest men. After hisdeath, his students wrote a book about his profound knowledge. The book liveson till today, China also retains many such fine traditions mentioned in thebook.

I didn't come to the world in theflood of 1998. I wasn’t born when SARS hit in 2003. I was just a little kidduring the earthquake of 2008, but because of the coronavirus this year, Iwill stand side by side with my country. The fate of the motherland is our owndestiny.
