Children run and jump outdoors, roll and crawl in games, messy themselves by trying to be independent... It is the best representation of young children in the field of physical health and development. 

We provide opportunities for young children to be active and interactive; and to develop their co-ordination, control, and movement. Children must also be helped to understand the importance of physical activity and to make healthy choices in relation to food. Aren’t these precious opportunities for children to practise their big and small muscles and learn about taste, texture, smell, temperature and table manners?

Children develop their personal, social and emotional through real situations and imaginative role-play in both indoor and outdoor activities. As they interact with adults and peers, they learn not only how to be friendly with others, but also how to see themselves and treat others, and develop the ability to adapt to social life. Language is a tool for communication and thinking. The development of children's language runs through all developing areas and has an important influence on the learning and development of other areas. 7. Understanding the world

Understanding the World guiding children to make sense of their physical world and their community through opportunities to explore, observe and find out about people, places, technology and the environment. Children can show this in range of ways including talking about themselves and their family, the similarities and differences between people, observing animals and plants how they differ and how the world around them is different from place to place.  They also learn about the range of different technologies in the world and how each one has a specific role or purpose.
