为孩子选学校，放眼望去，几乎每个学校的硬件设施都差不太多：多功能视听教室、科学实验室、艺术工作室、信息教室、舞蹈教室、图书馆、游泳池、标准跑道、各种球类运动场，全校Wi-Fi、新风系统覆盖……但是聪明的家长一定要明白：选国际学校不光要看硬件，更要看懂硬件背后的“软件”！

Hardware doesn’t seem to be that different from one school to another – multi-function room, science lab, art studio, IT room, dancing room, library, swimming pool, sports field, ball game courts, Wi-Fi and air-purification system etc. But it’s never just about the hardware but what’s behind them.
以图书馆为例，当你走进一所学校的图书馆，肯定是要看图书馆的规模、藏书量。以青苗上东校区图书馆为例，目前藏书近70000册，每年仍会根据图书馆老师确定的中英文阅读书目持续大量购置相关图书。但是，这不是最重要的，重要的是这些书籍是如何与学生进行链接的。
青苗斥资1.9万美元购置分级阅读系统Destiny，帮助建立青苗图书馆的分级阅读书目体系。每一位孩子都可以根据自己的阅读级别选择相应范围的书籍。
在青苗，图书管理员并非只是负责借阅书籍的人，他们更是优秀的IB教育者。通过定期与各年级老师开会探讨阅读配合计划，及时整理出与各年级UOI相关的书籍目录，目前青苗上东校区的图书馆书籍都已与PYP探究单元建立了联系。例如，如果你在检索栏输入“水循环”，就会出现与水循环探究主题相关的各类书籍。

When you walk into a library, the first thing to look at is the quantity of books. For example, at the BIBS UES library, we currently have nearly 70,000 books. But more importantly, is how these books are connected with our students.
BIBS spent US$19,000 on the system Destiny to establish the reading categorizing of our library. The BIBS library staff are not only book managers but also excellent IB educators. Through regular meetings with teachers, our library staff work out UOI related book lists for each grade. All of our UES library books are not connected to PYP. i.e. when you type in ‘Water Recycling’, all books related to this subject will appear.
青苗顺义校区游泳馆水温常年保持在27—28摄氏度之间，4台水循环处理泵24小时不间断循环过滤，拥有先进的电脑控温和电子水质监测及处理，符合国际标准。25M×20M泳池，水深1.5--1.8M，拥有6条标准训练泳道、出发台和戏水区，是一个集训练和休闲锻炼的综合性游泳馆。全方位配备新风系统，便于全年在任何天气下为青苗顺义校区400多名学生的体育课和ASA课程训练服务。

The temperature of BIBS Shunyi campus swimming pool is set at 27-28 all year round. 4 water filtering systems, computerized temperature and quality monitoring system work 24/7. The all-in-one natatorium consists of a 25M×20M pool of 1.5--1.8M deep, with 6 standard lanes, starting block and game pool. All purifying system protects over 400 students’ PE and ASA courses.
In 2018, BIBS together with Lucy Water World launched the high-quality swimming class which is the only STA and USSSA approved class in China. At BIBS, we don’t just teach swimming, we are swimming educators.

At BIBS Changying campus you will find theatre room, music room, science creative space, movie & animation room etc. We encourage our students to participate in creation, and we turn these creative spaces into dream labs. More experience, more opportunity, more possibility.
Behind these facilities is our BIBS Art Vine Project with profound overseas teaching resources, offering students international art education and guidance counselling services.
