Our native-English speaking teaching staff are recruited from leading schools around the world, and bring maturity and dynamism to the classroom. Most hold Masters or PhDs in Education and have, on average, 15+ years teaching experience.

MR DARREN COWAN

HOUSE MASTER AND HEAD OF HUMANITIES

舍监及人文学科主任

Mr Darren Cowan joins LEH Foshan as the Head of Humanities. Previously he was Head of Key Stage 4 at a leading international school in the UAE. Throughout his career he has held posts as Head of Humanities and Head of Geography at schools in the UK, Germany and the Middle East. He is a qualified Rugby and Tennis Coach. Mr Cowan has a Bachelor of Science in Geography and a Masters in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Warwick.

Darren Cowan先生以人文学科主任一职加入佛山LEH。此前，他曾在阿联酋一流的国际学校担任KS4（关键学段4）的主任。在他的职业生涯中，曾在英国、德国和中东的学校担任过人文学科和地理学科主任。Cowan先生还是一名合格的橄榄球和网球教练。拥有沃里克大学地理学学士学位、教育领导和管理硕士学位。

Mr Cowan was asked what he would want for his LEH students. Whilst exams are important, he says that LEH Foshan isn’t an exam factory. “We want students to have their passions, to grow, to have their interests and put a lot of effort into that and ultimately to enjoy learning and become better citizens for tomorrow," he explains.

当被问及对佛山LEH的学生有什么期待，Cowen先生表示，尽管考试对于学生非常重要，但是佛山LEH并不是一座“考试工厂”，“我们希望学生能够满怀热情地生活，快乐地成长，找到自己的兴趣所在并不断为之努力，享受学习带来的深层次的快乐，成为一个有责任有担当的人。”

MR MARK BANNISTER, HEAD OF HISTORY

历史学科主任

Mr Mark Bannister joins LEH Foshan as the Head of History. With over 20 years of teaching experience, he was Head of Humanities Faculty at a leading international school in Bahrain. Throughout his career he has taught in schools in the UK, Cyprus, the Middle East and Australia specialising in History. Mr Bannister has a Bachelor of Arts in History and English from the University of Keele. He enjoys travelling and experiencing new cultures and is very excited to be moving to China.

Mark Bannister先生以历史学科主任一职加入佛山LEH。他拥有超过20年的教学经验，曾在巴林的一所领先的国际学校担任人文学科主任。在他的教学生涯中，他曾在英国、塞浦路斯、中东地区以及澳大利亚等地的学校教授历史。Mark Bannister先生在基尔大学获得了历史文学及英语文学的学士学位。他喜欢旅行，喜欢体验不同的文化。对于在中国工作及生活，他感到非常兴奋。

“I can’t wait to begin teaching at LEH Foshan, to meet the students and help engender a love of learning and History. History is my passion and I hope to enthuse and motivate the students to excel in the subject.”
