丰盈蓬勃的这一年

--李校长写在学年末

亲爱的各位家长：

大家好！还记得去年8月，我与清澜的孩子们第一次相聚在美丽的校园，开学典礼上同学们的兴奋、快乐和期待，至今还历历在目。时光匆匆而过，转眼就是学年末了，我再一次和孩子们沉浸在充满仪式感的毕业典礼、结业典礼上，看着大家收获学识，收获友谊，成长成熟，真是令人欣慰。这一年，我和大家相识、相知、彼此信任，在学年结束之际，我与大家一起回望这段时光，既是见证同学们的成长，也是与家长们共话未来。

从我第一天来到清澜，我就清晰的知道理想教育的模样：“眼里有光，心里有梦，脚下有路”是我对清澜学子画像最真切地描述。校园中的每一位学生不仅是快乐的学习者，还拥有终身学习的能力；每一位学生不仅对探索知识有强烈的兴趣，对世界充满无限好奇，他们还敢于质疑，有创新的动力；每一位学生不仅能用中英双语自如表达自己，也探索并发展着每一项兴趣爱好；每一位学生不仅拥有良好的品行，悦纳自己，乐观向上，而且关心他人，关注社会，有责任感。这一年，就是我和全体教师及家长朋友们携手并肩朝着这个理想逐渐靠近的过程。

这一年，我们厚植学术根基，提升执教能力。对于一所学校来说，科学的教学系统，完备的课程体系，富有生命力的教师队伍至关重要。我们关注课堂质量，举办大师课堂，落实听评课制度；我们关注课程设置，多次召开各学部各层级的教学研讨会，积极推进学科组教研；我们关注教科研，成立学术督导委员会，开启教育教学论文年会，激励教师苦练内功；我们启动“科研导师项目”，邀请20余位教授和专家担任高中学生的科研导师，为学有余力的学生提供研究和实习的机会。一年来，学生们充分利用学校提供的各种平台施展身手，越来越多的学生在各种活动和比赛中崭露头角、稳步成长。IBO，ACSL、未来之城、USAD、NEC、MUN等比赛中都有清澜学子的身影，学生们在世界范围内的多项赛事中取得了骄人的成绩。

新的学年，我们会坚定地在深耕学术上持续蓄力。学校将着力在小学阶段夯实语数英，为孩子尽可能拓展学习外延，创造可能性；初中阶段提高学术标准，构建清澜学子的开放性思维体系；高中阶段优化课程设置，引领学生深度思考和专业发展，为连接升学做好铺垫；我们还将加深各教研组的纵向教研，搭建科学合理的课程体系；加强教研组内横向集体备课，促进教师专业成长。请大家相信：所有为了这些目标所做的调整，都将持续地为学生的成长赋能。

这一年，我们突出德育首位，优化育人氛围。我一直觉得学校是一个特殊的地方，任何工作要遵循育人为本，德育为先的理念。我们一直在着力创设适合学生发展的氛围，树立清风正气，儒雅温暖的育人环境。这一年，学校开展了一系列“心灵美、语言美、行为美”的主题活动，从创立团校、成立学生会，到建立志愿服务体系、成立小小讲师团；从精心设计每月的德育主题，到开展“用最美的语言与世界对话”。一切的德育教育活动，都是把育人放在首位。

新的学年，我们将在班主任工作方面尝试新的探索，加强班主任培训，充分发挥中外方双班主任各自的优势，助力师生深度情感连接。因为我们深知：班级是教育教学的主要发生地，每一位班主任在这个过程中承担着举足轻重的角色。但德育教育是一个润物细无声的过程，需要我们持续通过丰富的活动、高效的课堂、优质的班级管理来实现我们的育人目标。

这一年，我们回归以人为本，舒展学生的生命姿态。我一直坚信：We are here for kids.所以，一切的教育教学活动必须真真切切地以学生的成长为初心。这一年，相信您和我一样，看到了更多的孩子们主动组织、积极参与了多项校园活动并享受其中。而这些活动主题来自于孩子们关心的事情，前些天的Science Fair科学节、八年级及五年级的毕业项目，都让我由衷地赞叹，这种“以项目为主线、教师为主导、学生为主体”的教学实践非常有意义。各项活动既有广度，又有深度，既开阔了学生们的眼界，又锻炼了他们的综合能力。

这一年，我们水木艺术中心的舞台一直没有停歇，上演着一场场异彩纷呈的活动。交响乐团演出、清澜好声音、打击乐专场、合唱团专场、舞蹈专场、戏剧专场、TEDxTsinglan等等，我很欣喜地看到越来越多的学生站在了舞台的中央，闪现着耀眼的光芒。我也希望这些点点星光，点亮清澜的璀璨，照亮每一个孩子未来的前程。

对于学校未来的发展，我们信心满满。随着社会对清澜山的认可，申请就读清澜山学校已经是一位难求，新学年的中小学学生人数达到1400余人。同时我们也严把招生质量关，高中部只招收优秀的奖学金新生。新的一年，学校将在“深耕学术，发展内涵”方面继续发力。大家都知道，任何一个理想实现的过程都不会一蹴而就，它需要有面对改变的勇气，有实践中坚守的定力，也需要有与家长朋友们的共识。请大家相信：学校所做出的每一项举措，每一个调整变化，都会助力学生的内在成长，为学生的终身发展负责，一切都将朝着我们的教育理想迈进。相信清澜山学校会凭借领导团队专业的背景、全人教育的理念、独特的视野、超强的定力以及丰厚的资源，为学生和家长们提供最优质的国际化教育。

A Year Full Of Vitality And Enrichment

——Written At The End Of School Year By Principal Li

Dear all parents,

I still remember the first time I met with the students of Tsinglan on the beautiful campus last August. Their excitement, happiness and expectation at the opening ceremony are still fresh in mind. Recently, I once again attended the splendid promotion ceremonies for grade 8 and grade 5. I feel so happy and proud to see them gain knowledge, friendship and maturity. This is the year to get to know and build trust with everyone. At the end of the school year, I want to look back at this year with all of you to witness our students' growth and empower our parents for the future.

Since the first day I came to Tsinglan, I knew what ideal education would look like: Every Tsinglan student can see their future and chase their dreams with courage, diligence and determination. Every student in the School is not only a happy learner but also a lifelong learner; Every student not only has strong interest and curiosity in exploring knowledge and the world but also has the courage to question and the motivation to innovate; Every student can not only express themselves fully in Chinese and English but also develops a variety of interests; Every student not only has a good moral character but also cares about others and the society with a strong sense of responsibility. This year, All teachers and parents and I have been working continuously towards this ideal portrait of education.

It was a year that we strengthened the academia and improved the teaching ability. The vitality of a school lies in a scientific teaching system, a comprehensive curriculum system, and a team of passionate teachers. We focused on the quality of classes, held master classes, and implemented the class observation system; We focused the curriculum development, the research of teaching in subject groups and held teaching seminars. We focused on teaching and research, established the first Academic Committee and held the first Research Paper Conference. We launched the "Mentor Program", inviting more than 20 professors and experts to be the research mentors for Upper School students, providing research and internship opportunities for them. Over the past year, students have made full use of the various platforms offered by the School to develop their skills, achieve excellent results and progress in various world competitions such as IBO, ACSL, Future City, USAD, NEC and MUN.

In the new school year, we will continue to strengthen the academia. For Lower School, we will focus on laying a good foundation in Chinese, Math and English, and develop various learning contents to create more opportunities for children's growth; For Middle School, we will focus on raising academic standards and cultivate students' open-minded thinking; For Upper School, the School will focus on improving the curriculum and guiding students to develop their ability of profound thinking and improve academic performance to prepare for university. We will strengthen the cross-grades research on teaching to build a scientific and comprehensive curriculum system; We will enhance the cross subjects' class preparation to help teachers improve their teaching. We believe these adjustments will continue to empower our students to grow.

It was a year that we focused on moral education and optimized the environment for learning. I always believe that the school is a special place where any work should follow the principle of "To be a good person is the first step to be educated." We have been focusing on creating an excellent school ethos that's beneficial for students' development and establishing a positive education environment with harmony. This year, the School carried out a series of themed activities of "The Beauty of Mind", "The Beauty of Language" and "The Beauty of Behavior". We also established the Youth League School, the Student Council, the Volunteers Service System, and the Little Lecture Group. All the activities of moral education prioritize fostering the students to be a good person.

In the new school year, we will explore more in improving homeroom teachers' work efficiency by strengthening homeroom teachers' training, full implementation of Chinese and international homeroom teachers, and connecting the teachers and students together. We clearly understand that the class is the central place of education, and the homeroom teacher plays a significant role in this process. As moral education is a long-term process, we will continue to make efforts to achieve our goal of educating students through abundant activities, practical classes and efficient class management.

It was a year that we have been student-oriented and insistent on their comprehensive personal development. I always believe that: We are here for kids. We should place students' growth as the priority of all the teaching activities. This year, we have witnessed more and more students taking the initiative to organize, participate, and enjoy various school activities. All of the themes of these activities came from what the students care about. For example, the Science Fair and the promotion projects for Grade 8 and 5 held a few days ago are effective teaching practices conducted based on the projects, guided by the teachers and organized by the students. The activities have broadened students' horizons and developed their comprehensive abilities. 

Our Shuimu Arts Center Stage has performed countless wonders this year. Symphony Orchestra performance, Tsinglan Voice, Percussion performance, Choir performance, Dance performance, Drama performance, TEDxTsinglan and so on. I am glad to see more and more students show out and become a dazzling presence on stage. I hope these unique experiences can empower Tsinglan and light up the children's future.

We have great confidence in the future development of the School. With the recognition of Tsinglan School from society, it has become more difficult to apply for admission. There will be over 1,400 students from grade 1-12 in the upcoming school year. At the same time, we also strictly regulate the enrollment requirements. All the students in Grade 8 and above are interviewed by me and the Academic Principal, and the Upper School only accepts outstanding scholarship students. In the new school year, the School will continue to strengthen the academia and develop to discover deeper meaning. As we all know, the realization of any goal is a long-term process of continuous efforts. It requires courage to face changes, determination to stick to practices and consensus with parents. Please continue to hold faith in the School as every action and adjustment we make is aimed at students' inner growth and lifelong development. We will continue to make efforts to realize our educational ideal. We believe that Tsinglan School will provide our students and parents with the best international education with its professional leadership team, holistic education concept, unique vision, intense focus and abundant resources.
