新学年，新起点

9月9日哈罗珠海举办了新学年开学典礼

这也是新冠疫情爆发以来

学校举办的首次线下开学庆典

创办于2021年的珠海哈罗礼德学校，传承英国哈罗公学百年价值理念，采用创新的礼德双语课程，结合英国寄宿制学校的全人教育方法，致力于为大湾区家庭提供中西融合的高品质双语教育。

哈罗珠海2022-2023学年的开学典礼

在极具中国传统风格的群狮起舞中开启

狮子，不仅是中国文化里祥瑞的象征

同时也是哈罗传承了450年的校徽印记

正如中华雄狮与哈罗狮的文化渊源贯穿一线

哈罗珠海的教育亦是覆盖了中西文化之经典

汇集了东西方教育与教法的精华

哈罗珠海外方校长马千里博士

向全校师生发表了新学年致辞

马千里博士表示，

哈罗社区的力量源于家校的团结和一致

家校合力才能为学生创造良好的社会和文化氛围

而学生也能因此取得长足的学术进步

马千里博士鼓励学生们努力学习

“持续挑战自己天才的边界”

开学典礼在全校师生齐唱哈罗校歌声中结束

传承了一个多世纪的哈罗校歌

《四十年来》（Forty Years On）

承载的是哈罗学子之间的深厚友谊与对未来的期待

作为粤港澳大湾区唯一一所哈罗品牌的双语学校，学校至今已经走过了565个日夜。在哈罗大家庭和哈罗珠海学生与家长社群的全力支持下，哈罗珠海正在快速成长为一所在本区域具有标杆意义的国际化双语学校

The new school year marks a New Start

AISL Harrow Zhuhai held a ceremony on September 9th

to kick off the new school year

This is also the first offline school open ceremony

Hosted after the outbreak of COVID-19

Founded in 2021, Harrow Innovation Leadership Academy Zhuhai, inheriting the century-old values of Harrow School in the UK, innovatively adopting the HILA bilingual curriculum, delivers its holistic education via its British boarding school approach. We are committed to providing families in the Greater Bay Area with a high-quality bilingual education that blends the best of the East and West.

The ceremony were kicked off by a traditional Chinese Lion Dance. The lion is not only a symbol of good fortune in Chinese culture, but also a symbol from Harrow's 450-year heritage that sits on the very sigil of a Harrow logo.

Just as the Chinese Lion and the Harrow Lion interlink culturally, the education at Harrow Zhuhai also exemplifies the linkage between Eastern and Western cultures, and best teaching practices.

Harrow School Logo is originally from John Lyon’s family sigil.

Dr. Max Caruso delivered an opening speech to all students, parents and staff members.

Dr. Caruso indicated that our strength lies within our unity. Only through the natural extension between school and home can we create the social-cultural conditions through which our children will thrive.

Dr. Caruso also encourages the students to continue to challenge the frontier of their genius.

Welcomed the honored guests and said

The traditional Chinese culture can guide our education to its essence

The true meaning of education carries not only knowledge itself

But the passion for learning, respect for life and the expectation for a beautiful life

Mr. Huang, the Acting Director of the Livelihood Affairs Bureau of Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, 

complimented the school when he said

The most important part of the event was the special Harrow Hat Ceremony, in which the Head Master and the Chinese Principal presented the new Harrovians one by one with the centuries-old Harrow Hats.

The Harrow Hat, a symbol of Harrow's 450 years of glory and spirit, will accompany our young Harrovians on their new exceptional journey.

The ceremony ended the Harrow school song Forty Years On. The whole school stood up and sang.  The song has been passed down for more than a century, carrying the deep friendship between Harrow students and their expectations for the future.

As the only Harrow-branded bilingual school in the Greater Bay Area, the school has endured 565 days and nights so far. With the full support of the AISL Harrow family and the Harrow Zhuhai community, our school is rapidly growing into a benchmark internationalized bilingual school in the region.
