As an excellent traditional Chinese sport, the Lion Dance is part of China's intangible cultural heritage, with a long history of over 2,000 years and a wide popular base.
Rich in national colours and unique traditional artistry, it is the essence of the splendid traditional culture of the Chinese nation. At the same time, it can exercise the body and will, and inspire people to unite, move forward and move upwards.
In order to inherit and promote the traditional Chinese sports culture and enrich the cultural connotation of the campus, the Lion Dance Team stepped into LWSuzhou with good luck at the beginning of the school year.
LWS Director Charlene Tang, Executive Principal Christina He, Kindergarten Director Miko Liu and Deputy Director Michael Li jointly dotted the eyes of the lion, signifying the awakening of new energy to welcome the new school year!
The lion dances with the sound of gongs and drums.
Sometimes they look back, sometimes they bob their heads, sometimes they walk in circles, in a variety of postures and with great interest.
Afterwards, the lion, which signifies good luck and good fortune, hung a blessing banner.
The lion came to the students and got in close contact with them.
The event not only allowed the children to learn more about lion dance culture, but also planted the seeds of traditional folk art in their hearts with the wonderful art performance, which they believe will blossom one day.
