新学期，新起点
在暖风习习的二月
哈罗珠海的学子们
迎来了癸卯兔年的新学期

2月6日，哈罗珠海迎来了2022-23学年第二学期的开学第一天。哈罗学子意气风发，自信大方地走进校园，与校长、老师们热情地打招呼。
全校师生齐聚一堂，举行新学期第一次升旗仪式和集会。
集会环节，外方校长马千里博士分享了自己寒假的中国文化体验，强调多元文化及通过文化去学习对于孩子成长的重要性，呼吁大家以包容开放的心态，在一个跨文化的学习环境中不断精进。
中方校长李舒女士欢迎同学们返校，她围绕“瑞雪兆丰年”向哈罗学子致以新学期的祝福，期望大家经历了寒冬后能有坚韧不拔的意志，一往无前的勇气和团结向上的信念，在2023年的春天以蓬勃的姿态向阳而生。哈罗珠海，未来可期！
让大家都眼前一亮的是集会上的乐队表演，由学校音乐老师领衔，以西方乐器和演奏方法演绎广东经典年歌，让同学们的精神为之一振。
在集会上，最与众不同的莫过于充满哈罗特色的授帽仪式。这是最具哈罗特色的一项学校传统，马千里博士和李舒女士为即将正式成为哈罗学子的学生逐一戴上硬草帽，同学们自此便带着一份荣誉感及使命感。
戴上这顶哈罗帽，即代表着同学们正式成为一名真正的哈罗人，“勇气、荣誉、谦和、互助”四大价值观将印记在哈罗人的心中，引领着他们成为未来的领航者。
集会过后，同学们也正式回归了课程学习的正轨，有的班级分组互动、讨论学习，这一边同学们积极举手、热情发言，那一边同学们围着老师请教难题……一幕幕认真学习的场景，无不展示着新学期，新气象。
各班老师迎接新学期的方式也别出心裁，如六年级的同学们就戴上可爱的兔耳装饰庆贺兔年。这些新奇的“玩法”帮助本学期加入哈罗珠海的新同学们能快速地融入了集体。
致力为广大同学谋福祉的学生会一开学就马不停蹄地筹办新学期的事项。学生会在高年级的过道上设置了一个新的通知板，更好地让同学们知道学生会的动向，旁边还会放置一个信箱，方便收集同学们的意见和建议。
进入新学期，哈罗珠海的同学们立志在学业、技能、习惯等各个方面做得更好，成为出色、更优秀的自己。他们在学期之初许下了各式各样的小诺言：
知之非艰，行之惟艰。希望同学们能够信守自己新学期的诺言，坐言起行，在新学期收获满满。

Hello Harrow! We Are Back!
On 6 February, Harrow Zhuhai celebrated the first day of the second term of the 2022-23 academic year. Harrow students walked onto campus in high spirits, confident and generous, and greeted the Chinese principal and teachers warmly.
The whole school gathered for the first flag-raising ceremony and assembly of the new semester.
On the assembly, Dr. Caruso, the Head Master, shared his experience of Chinese culture during the winter holidays, emphasising the importance of multiculturalism and learning through culture for children's growth, and urging everyone to be inclusive and open-minded, and to continue to improve in a cross-cultural learning environment.
Ms. Elise Li, the Chinese Principal, welcomed the students back to school and wished them a happy new semester based on the saying "Snow augurs good years", hoping that after the cold winter, they will have the will to persevere, the courage to go forward and the belief to unite and grow in the spring of 2023. Harrow Zhuhai, the future is bright!
The highlight for everyone was the band performance at the assembly, led by the school's music teacher, which lifted the spirits of the students with a rendition of a classic Cantonese New Year song using Western instruments and playing methods.
One of the most unusual features of the assembly was the Harrow-inspired Hat Ceremony. This is one of the most recognized Harrow tradition in which the Head Master put hard straw hats on the students who will formally become Harrovians, and from then on the students carry a sense of honour and mission.
Wearing this Harrow hat means that the students are officially a true Harrovian.The four values of "Courage, Honour, Humility and Fellowship" will be imprinted in the hearts of Harrovians and will lead them to become the leaders of the future.
After the assembly, students also returned to their studies. Some classes interacted in groups and discussed their studies. Some students actively raised their hands and speaking enthusiastically while some students gathered around their teachers to ask for advice on difficult issues. A scene of serious study shows the new semester and the new atmosphere.
The teachers also welcomed the new semester in their original ways. For example, Grade 6 students wore cute rabbit ears to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit. These new and exciting ways of 'playing' helped the new students who joined Harrow Zhuhai this semester to settle in quickly.
The Student Council, which is dedicated to the well-being of all students, has been working hard to plan for the new semester as soon as the school year begins. The Student Council has set up a billboard in the corridor to better inform students about new information, and a mailbox will be placed next to it to facilitate the collection of students' opinions and suggestions.
As we enter the new semester, Harrow Zhuhai students are determined to do better in all aspects of their studies, skills and habits to become more outstanding and to be better. At the beginning of the term, they made a variety of small resolutions.
It is not hard to say, but hard to do. We hope that students will keep their promises for the new semester and do what they say. The new semester will be full of rewards.
