ASJ Dongguan held the annual student-led conference last week where students presented their past academic year's courses to their parents. The conference aims to assist students in developing self-reflection, responsibility, and autonomy.
东莞暨大港澳子弟学校在上周举行了年度学生主导会议，学生们向家长展示了他们过去一学年的课程。会议的目的是帮助学生自我反思、培养责任感和自主精神。
WHAT is
a Student-Led Conference?
In student-led conferences, both the student and parents participate. By leading the conference, and sharing their learning process with their parents, the students have the responsibility of managing the conference and taking ownership of their studies.
在学生主导的会议中，学生和家长都参与其中。通过领导会议，以及与家长分享他们的学习进程，学生们负责主导会议，并掌握自己学习的自主权。
The conference includes the students' conversation and evaluation of the selected pieces of work they wish to present to their parents. The teacher previously chose the work with assistance and direction and may originate from the students' personal portfolios.
会议包括学生希望展示给父母的作品的对话和评价。这些作品在老师的帮助和指导下挑选，来自学生的成长档案。
Within the PYP framework, there is a significant emphasis on fostering student agency whereby students are equipped with the capability to become self-reliant learners capable of establishing their own objectives, contemplating their learning process and utilizing their acquired knowledge to make impactful changes.
