St Bees Dongguan has an excellent team of teachers. They come from Imperial College London, King's College London, University of Wales, Peking University, University of New South Wales and University of the Arts London. They have excellent, professional and diverse educational backgrounds, and most of them are excellent front-line teachers with over 10 years of experience in education. They provide a good all-round class for students both inside and outside the classroom.

本科毕业于美国石溪大学,硕士毕业于美国教育学院,获教育学硕士学位。拥有10年中小学教学经验,具有丰富的英语及经济学教学经验,持有TEFL认证。

Mr. Lukas Moon graduated from Stony Brook University with a bachelor’s degree and from the American College of Education with a Master's degree in Education. He has 10 years of teaching experience in primary and secondary schools, with extensive experience in teaching English and Economics, and holds TEFL certification.




从三年前开始站上圣比斯(东莞)的讲台,我已为许多学生提供了经济学的课程。国际高中的目标是为学生创造一个发展英语技能的环境,因此每一堂课都要为学生提供口语练习的机会。除此之外,我们还要让学生主动地参与到课程全过程,从被动的听,到主动的学,再到站起来说。

Since I started at St Bees Dongguan three years ago, I have delivered economics lessons to many students. The goal is to create an environment where students develop their English skills, so every lesson is designed to provide opportunities for students to practice speaking. In addition to this, we need to engage students actively in the curriculum, so they can learn and express themselves.






在圣比斯(东莞),我们提供的是更全面的教育。比如我所上的经济学课程,要求学生要理解了课程的逻辑框架,特别是融合在其中的其他学科的知识、数学模型和人类行为的研究。这也是A-level经济学考试包含大作文,要求学生以经济学家的方式进行分析和评价的原因。

At St Bees Dongguan, we offer a more holistic education. The economics course I took, for example, required students to understand the logical framework of the course, particularly the knowledge of other disciplines, mathematical models and the study of human behaviour integrated within it. This is the reason why the A-Level Economics exam includes a comprehensive essay that requires students to analyse and evaluate in the way that an economist would.





在课堂之外,我还在校内成立了桌游社团,目前有许多学生参加。这是一个非常有趣的社团,能为学生中提供了另一个成长和学习的机会。

Outside of the classroom, I have also set up a board games club within the school, which currently has many students participating. It is a really fun club that provides another opportunity for growth and learning amongst the students.

Biology Teacher


本科毕业于南佛罗里达大学,硕士毕业于伦敦国王学院,生物医学科学与神经科学专业背景。曾在中国科学院深圳先进技术研究院下进行过脑科学科研工作,具有丰富的科研经历。

Winston holds a bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida and a master's degree from King's College London, with a background in biomedical science and neuroscience. He has extensive research experience in biological sciences, having conducted research under the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology in the Chinese Academy of Sciences.




在校内,我主要教授AS、AL、IG的生物学内容。如何让学生在全英的语境下理解并表达所学的知识,同时用更学术的方式去回答考试的问题,不是一件简单的事情。因此,在我的课堂上会更强调“理解”和“表达”,让学与用同步起来。

I teach mainly Biology content for AS, AL and IG. It is not easy to get students to understand and express what they have learnt in a fully English context, and to answer exam questions in a more academic way. Therefore, in my classes, I place more emphasis on 'understanding' and 'expression' to synchronize learning and application.






在我看来,国际高中更加强调学生的“兴趣”,只有抓住了学生的兴趣,才能让学生有更大的动力。在国际高中的教育理念中,“考试”只是教育中不可避免的一环,最重要的是学生需要知道“我”未来想要做什么?只有对自己的兴趣与未来有清晰的认知,才能对学习有更大的热情、投入更多的心思,不是仅仅为了通过考试而考试。

In my opinion, international high schools place more emphasis on the 'interest' of students, and only by capturing the interest of students can they be more motivated. In an international high school, examinations are not only an inevitable part of education, but also the most important thing is that students need to know what they want to do in the future. It is only when students clearly understand their interests and future that they can be more enthusiastic and committed to their studies, rather than just passing exams for the sake of passing them.





生物相比其他而言会更加枯燥:繁琐的知识点,晦涩难懂的专有名词,还有大段的释义都很容易让学生注意力涣散。适当的课堂活动,比如团队竞赛、知识点抢答、突击测试,都会随机出现在课程中,让学生的注意力更加集中。

Biology can be more boring than other subjects: tedious points, obscure proper nouns, and large explanations can easily distract students. Appropriate classroom activities, such as team competitions, quizzes, and pop quizzes, will randomly appear in the course to keep students' attention.





我个人很喜欢运动,所以我会在课后与学生一起开展体育活动。比如指导学生击剑和武术,让更多学生在体育活动中养成运动的好习惯。

I love sports, so I will do physical activities with my students after school. For example, I instruct students in fencing and martial arts so that more students can develop good habits of exercise in sports activities.

Further Mathematics Teacher


本科毕业于香港大学,主修电气工程,辅修金融;帝国理工学院研究生毕业,专业为未来能源电网,从本科开始,累积了数学英语的教学经验,毕业后在华为工作过一段时间。

Bob graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a major in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Finance, and a postgraduate from Imperial College London with a specialisation in Future Energy Grids. He has accumulated experience in teaching Mathematics since his undergraduate studies, and worked for Huawei for a period of time after graduation.




作为高等数学的授课老师,我认为高数是基础数学的深化提升,侧重点会偏向于推导公式、理解问题以及综合运用知识点解决更有难度的数学题。国际高中多为西式教育,培养学生自主思考,创新能力。由此学校开展了GAP,社团,院舍活动,科学展等活动,培养学生的团队合作,创新能力。

As a teacher of further mathematics, I believe that further mathematics is a deepening of basic mathematics, with a focus on derivation of formulas, understanding of problems and the integration of knowledge to solve more difficult mathematical problems. International high schools cultivate students' independent thinking and creative abilities. The school offers GAP, clubs, House activities, science fairs and other activities to develop students' teamwork and innovation skills.






对于学数学的学生来说,毕业后大部分会选择与统计、工程类相关的专业。课后,我们还会增加与学生的交流,毕竟我们这些有留学背景的老师,可以分享真实经历给到同样有着留学目标的学生。

For most students who study mathematics, they will go on to pursue a career in statistics or engineering after graduation. After school, we also increase our communication with students, as we have a background in studying abroad and can share our real-life experiences with students who also have the goal of studying abroad.




在教学的过程中,学生的认同会让我们获得成就感。在这里,学生们都是自己学习路上的规划者和推动者,他们都怀着积极的态度,只是偶尔会迷茫不知道成长的方向。因此,我会不断反思改进自身的教学方式,课内提升趣味性,课外增加交流机会,从而激发每一位学生对于学习的热情。

The recognition from students during the teaching process give us a sense of achievement. Students are planners and facilitators of their own learning journey, all with a positive attitude, only occasionally confused about the direction of their growth. Therefore, I am constantly reflecting on how I teach, making it more interesting inside the classroom and increasing the opportunities for communication outside the classroom.



截至2023年4月18日,圣比斯学子们已收到世界各地顶尖院校本科录取信132封,录取学校有包括帝国理工学院、香港理工大学、悉尼大学等QS世界大学排名前百院校,分布在英国、澳洲、香港等地区。其中递交英国本科申请的学生,100%获得英国罗素大学集团或英国前20名大学录取。递交美国哈佛大学、英国剑桥大学、英国帝国理工学院申请的同学,均收到面试邀请,面邀率达到100%。

As of April 18, 2023, graduates of St Bees Dongguan have received 132 admission letters from top universities around the world, admissions to QS World University Rankings including Imperial College, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, University of Sydney and other top 100 institutions,including those in the UK, Australia, Hong Kong, and other regions. For students applying for undergraduate programs in the UK, 100% received offers from Russell Group universities or top 20 universities in the UK. Students who submitted applications to Harvard University in the United States, the University of Cambridge, and Imperial College London in the UK, all received interview invitations.
