圣比斯公学传承至今已有440年，自2020年启用的圣比斯（东莞）延承圣比斯公学的优良传统，将英国名校带到了东莞，让许多学子在家门口就能上百年英国名校。两校区的交流与互访，不断促进中英文化的交流，拓展学生的国际化视野。

St Bees School has been in existence for 440 years, and since its opening in 2020, St Bees Dongguan has continued the fine tradition of St Bees School, bringing a prestigious British school to Dongguan, allowing many students to attend a century-old British school right at their doorstep. Exchanges and visits between the two campuses continue to promote Sino-British cultural exchange and expand students' international horizons.

St Bees School visits China again

6月6日，英国圣比斯公学助理校长Mr. Laurence Gribble来访圣比斯东莞、惠州校区。在参观与交流中，双方就加深进一步交流，展开恳切谈话与美好畅想。在校长Mr. Lee Knight的带领下，Mr. Laurence Gribble分别参观了课堂、运动场、图书馆和学生宿舍，深入了解师生在校的学习生活情况，以及学生取得成绩和录取情况。

On June 6, Mr. Laurence Gribble, Assistant Principal of St Bees School, visited St Bees Dongguan and Huizhou campuses. During the visit and exchange, both sides had an earnest conversation and good thoughts about further exchanges. Led by Principal Mr. Lee Knight, Mr. Laurence Gribble visited the classrooms, sports grounds, library, and student dormitories to learn more about the academic life of the students and teachers, as well as the achievements and admissions of the students.

除了参观校园环境外，Mr. Laurence Gribble与学生进行交流，了解圣比斯（东莞）的学生、生活情况，并介绍了英国圣比斯公学的教学环境与文化环境，深入地与学生沟通圣比斯公学国际化办学的内容。交流会主要围绕学生们好奇的问题展开。会上，同学们一一做了自我介绍，提出的英国圣比斯公学培育特色、英国大学申请、时事热点等一系列问题都得到了充分回应。

After the campus tour, Mr. Laurence Gribble had a talk with the students about their life at St Bees Dongguan, and introduced the teaching and cultural environment of St Bees School. The session focused on questions that the students were curious about. During the meeting, the students introduced themselves one by one and received a full response to their questions about the characteristics of St Bees' education, applying to UK universities and current affairs.

Mr. Laurence Gribble has a wealth of experience in teaching and managing in international education. An Elite Sport comes to St Bees Dongguan

6月7日，来自伦敦的Mr. Howard Wiseman为圣比斯（东莞）带来了英国公学中的精英运动——Eton Fives。Mr. Howard Wiseman将用深入体验的方式带领圣比斯师生感受这一项传承146年被称为“地球上最好的手球运动”。目前，圣比斯（东莞）是中国首家拥有Eton Fives专业运动场地的校区，也是第一家教授这项运动的校区，真正传承了英国的文化。

On June 7, Mr. Howard Wiseman from London brought Eton Fives, the elite sport of British public schools, to St Bees Dongguan, where Mr. Howard Wiseman gave students and teachers an in-depth experience of the 146-year-old sport known as "the best handball on earth".Currently, St Bees Dongguan is the first campuses in China to have a professional sports ground for Eton Fives, and the first to teach the sport with a true British heritage.

Eton Fives，形式上类似于壁球，区别在于运动员要戴着皮手套用手击球。现如今，在英国的很多地方，都能看到人们在玩Eton Fives，甚至，在尼日利亚、澳大利亚和印度都在玩这个游戏。在英国几所学校和俱乐部都有Eton Fives运动场。

Eton Fives, similar in form to squash, differs in that the players must hit the ball with their hands while wearing leather gloves. Today, Eton Fives can be found being played in many parts of the UK, and even, in Nigeria, Australia and India. There are Eton Fives courts in several schools and clubs in the UK.

Mr. Howard Wiseman has been bringing Eton Fives, a sport that has been played for hundreds of years, back into the mainstream by designing new gloves and teaching at schools in the UK. Such an outstanding Eton Fives player has travelled to St Bees Dongguan to give students and teachers an in-depth experience of what has been described as "the best handball game on earth" for 146 years.
