You have of course since I was here last year also acquired a new Head, Aaron, who will I am sure continue to lead Harrow’s future development with vision and skill. But it is the students who are the focus of this operation, and I am encouraged to see their joy of learning, creativity, application and determination as I wander round the campus. There is of course a third key element to the success of a school, and that is the parents. I congratulate you for choosing Harrow Chongqing and trust that you will continue to support the school staff and your wonderful children as they mature through their time here.

我知道建立一所学校从来都不是一件容易的事，它依赖于善意、韧性和成功的决心。此外，在我之前参与不同活动，与哈罗同学们的接触中，也注意到许多同学表现出哈罗所提倡的优良品质，我非常受鼓舞，我看到了你们以坚定的决心面对挑战，创造性地、合作地解决问题。

By studying in a bilingual and bicultural environment, they, in fact, have chosen a more demanding path for their growth. What a display of courage and confidence when a child meets the challenge head-on to learn and study two languages and two cultures simultaneously. However, the above-mentioned prejudice did find me, for a time, in a bit of a pickle. What indeed is the nitty gritty of life and learning on an international campus? What are the possible pros and cons? 

通过在双语双文化的环境中学习，学子们为自己的成长选择了一条更荆棘更苛刻的道路。当一个孩子正面迎接挑战，同时学习和研究两种语言和两种文化时，这需要多么大的勇气和信心。然而，上述偏见（对于那些选择国际化学校的家庭）确实让我一度陷入了困境。那国际化学校的生活和学习有哪些值得注意的细节？存在的优点和缺点会是什么？

In competitive sports, achievements are made by practice, champions are made by bumping into each other. You ask me about my stunt, just one word - dedication! Just give all you have to everything you love!

我只讲一次，你给我记好了。凭什么有这种绝技，就只能你会，别人不会？竞技体育，成绩是练出来的，冠军是撞出来的。你问我绝招，就两字——奉献！就把你的全部奉献给你热爱的一切！

It's my honour to stand on this stage. Thanks to my grade 4 classmates for choosing me as their representative to complete this speech. I would like to share with you something that make me feel huge sense of success… I think this kind of thing should require effort, persistence, and courage. If you want to change something about yourself, I think you should have the courage to persevere and work hard to change it.

All in all, my journey at Harrow Chongqing has been a revolution of my own making. I am grateful for the countless lessons I have learned, the challenges I have overcome, and the growth I have experienced. As I stand here today, I am confident that the foundations laid during my time at Harrow will serve as a springboard for the rest of my life. Thank you all for your support and for being an essential part of this remarkable journey.
